Eyemouth is a generally quiet town, few shops, the beach is ok but the harbour is more vibrant and busy with lovely chippy and The Ship and Oblos are lovely for food. We stayed in Eyemouth because I knew it was a perfect base for travelling to other towns on the East coast. Eyemouth is worth a visit but don’t expect too much activity.

.We had a lovely big, bright clean room...tea and coffee making facilities were provided in the room and we each had a bottle of water at our bedsides. The host, Amanda was very helpful...she told us where we could get a nice breakfast, we followed her advice and went to The Waterfront cafe where they had a good selection for breakfast. We had a walk around Eyemouth and called in for a drink at the Tavern where the bar lady was really friendly. I would have liked to stay longer at The Ships Quarters. Maybe need to visit again.

It looks a lovely town, but sadly lots of shops empty.

Harbour where you could buy food to feed seals, but not at the team we were there. Nice walk along a small pier, but lackof safety barriers was concerning - there is a 30 foot drop into the sea.

We used Eyemouth as a base to visit Lindisfarne, and it suited our needs well. The town itself was very charming to walk about and I would have liked to explore it further if we had had more time. The hotel seems to have an associated restaurant, where we had a very nice meal. There were various tasty options for breakfast places nearby.
The Apartment was clean, spacious and airy with a well -equipped kitchen. The welcome pack from the host was generous and appreciated. The views across and around the harbour were interesting especially watching the seals being fed as the boats were unloading their catch. Eyemouth was a good base for touring local beaches and tourist places, Edinburgh being an easy drive via A1. Good facilities on the quayside with two clean and friendly bars within a couple of minutes walking also Fish and Chips and excellent Ice cream.
The apartment was clean and comfortable, this is important as I was travelling with my mum and I want her to feel comfortable staying away from home. Although there was a flight of stairs outside this was not a negative as the stairs were well maintained. The location was perfect to walk to the harbour to have lunch or dinner. We used Eyemouth as a base to visit Coldingham priory , st Abbas, north Berwick and Bambourgh. I would definitely return in the future, great price for lovely apartment.
The caravan was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Toiletries, towels and bedding were all included as was the use of bikes if we would have liked them. Everything was spotless and there was contact from the owner to ensure we had all we needed. It was in a great spot on Eyemouth Park Dean Resort. The site itself was also very clean and well cared for. We had free use of the local swimming pool and the walk along the cliff path and down into the town was great.
The location is lovely, very close to all the amenities. 2 minute walk away from pet friendly pubs. The beach at Eyemouth is lovely, even in January the kids loved chasing the waves. The property has everything you can think of. Really comfy beds, although the smaller bedroom is not two singles as pictured. It is a single bed with a trundle bed which is fine for kids but maybe not if it was 2 adults sharing the room.
Hillcrest is a lovely property, perfectly located. The property & room was immaculately clean, tidy & inviting. The beds were very comfortable. Our hosts were exceptional & very welcoming. Lovely to meet such kind & caring hosts, clearly showing a wealth of experience & care of high standards in customer care. We highly recommend a stay at Hillcrest, Eyemouth.
We loved everything about our stay. Stunning hotel in a stunning place. The hotel is immaculate, room was better than expected! Very clean, comfy bed, spacious, stunning views & communication with owner was great! Couldn't fault the place. Thanks for a great stay!
Fantastic rooms, especially the family room, with great views. Eyemouth has some nice places to eat had the seafood platter at the contented sole it was really good. Would recommend The Ships Quarters and hope to visit again.
Lovely lovely lovely hotel. Huge family room which was great for my family with 2 teenage boys. Super clean, wonderful little touches like biscuits with the tea service in the room. Would stay here again for sure.
Absolutely superb location on the outskirts of Eyemouth brilliant staff very friendly and nothings too much trouble….afternoon tea a must along with the home made scones….AYE!! 🤓
Eyemouth is a lovely fishing town, lots of really good restaurants and a great pubs called The Tavern and The Contented Sole. Both were very friendly and welcoming.
