Featuring a garden and a terrace, The Falmouth Hotel is located in Falmouth, 800 metres from Pendennis Castle. The property has a bar, as well as a restaurant serving British cuisine. Outstanding location by the sea and a very short convenient walk into the town center. There was ample parking. The garden seating area was a favorite spot to have a drink, enjoy the sun and watch the ocean. This is a heritage building that has retained its 19th century charm. But, has updated to make it competitive with newer major chain hotels. The pool is large and the spa and fitness facilities are more than adequate. Staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely worth considering for a stay in Falmouth.

The only problem with Falmouth is that, in the summer months, it’s spoiled by its own success. It’s pretty and charming with some good independent shops, good cafes and restaurants, arts venues and galleries, great beaches, and is close to other lovely places. During the summer, however, the place is heaving. You can’t drive anywhere for queues of 4WDs clogging up the lanes and car parks, and you can’t walk anywhere for crowds of 4WD owners clogging up the streets and beaches. Go out of season!
We've had many trips to Falmouth, staying in hotels and self catering apartments. Falmouth has a good range of shops, and places to eat and drink. We also enjoy regular walks along the coast. Cornwall's other interesting towns are all within easy reach, with good road connections, making Falmouth an ideal base.
Falmouth is a great working port town that houses a great maritime museum as well as a large working port. Lots of Poldark related tourism of course...well it is Cornwall! Great high street and good range of eateries and of course pubs! Great in the summer but gets busy!
As we had lived in Falmouth for many years before moving away, our trip was mostly to meet up with friends and family. We found Falmouth Golf Club perfect for afternoon coffee, and enjoyed a meal at the "Pennycomequick" pub on the Moor in the centre of the town. The cafes at Event Square were excellent, and we had morning coffee at the Greenbank Hotel on one day of our stay, a lovely venue with wonderful views. Fish and Chips at "Harbour Lights" was delicious. Falmouth is a busy town with a variety of shops and places to eat, and it is easy to travel to National Trust gardens (when open) and other beauty spots in the area, if you have a car. If you want to stay closer to your accommodation, there are many lovely walks to enjoy.
Falmouth is lovely with an amazing harbour, always something to watch. Lovely beach and loads of good places to eat. Very beautiful surrounding countryside and coastal walks and some lovely gardens to visit.
Lots to see and do, fabulous local produce/bakeries and restaurants. Good choice of bars for all ages. Good walks both coastal and roadside. Walked to Swanpool to the restaurant Hooked on the rocks’ which is on the beach, excellent and lots of winter sea swimmers!
Falmouth
The tone was set for our 2-day visit by cheerful and welcoming Beccy with her wealth of local knowledge. Our straightforward room was well furnished, comfortable bed and had sufficient electric outlets. A small clean bathroom with a good shower. The breakfast was a standard "full English", made more enjoyable by the sea view and warm attention from Fiona. The hotel is well located for the main beach and a nice walk above it, around the castle and down into town.
Falmouth
Nigel and Sharon were warm and attentive hosts. We stayed in a superior king with balcony and sea view (Dusty Springfield). It was well appointed, had a comfortable bed and was tastefully styled. The breakfasts were delicious with plenty of choice and we were also provided with little treats for the day. The location was good to explore Falmouth and walks along the coastal path. Free parking is available alongside the hotel.
Terrific location opposite the sea front, excellent food, sparkling clean property (never seen such a pristine hotel; the staff were always cleaning) and loved the indoor heated pool - what a treat. There is also free parking. The public spaces were elegant, perfect for lingering in over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine with a view over the sea and Pendennis Castle, and the staff were friendly.
Lovely house hotel with very comfortable rooms. The meals were lovely, a great chef. Restaurant staff very friendly. I loved the decor of the house it was like staying in someone's beautiful house.Hotel near to many places to visit. Co op shop just around the corner. We visited Trebah Gardens well worth a visit. Falmouth is a lovely town lots of shops and places to eat. Would stay again .
Spacious and comfortable rooms and communal areas with an interesting eclectic collection of art and furnishings. We really enjoyed the wealth of interesting historical photographs with explanations relating to Falmouth and the hotel itself displayed throughout the hotel. The gardens are beautiful and our room had a stunning view of Falmouth Bay.
Lovely old hotel, a little “tired” but still beautiful in an exceptional location overlooking the bay/Pendennis Castle within a 10 minute stroll into Falmouth. Staff lovely - all of them wished me Happy Birthday and chocolates and message I. Our room on arrival. Really enjoyed our stay here and would return.

Everything was excellent. A lovely welcome from the host Liz. We had a large room with balcony with view of Falmouth Bay . The hotel was spotlessly clean . The breakfast was fantastic, freshly cooked. Would definitely stay at this great hotel again . It was close to the beach , town centre and Pendennis Castle.

Very friendly owners. Everything very clean and COVID aware. Breakfast was tasty and served by Karen who was a great asset. It was a pleasant 10 min walk into Falmouth or an even shorter walk to the beach.
Location - within walking distance from train station - and the Main Street of Falmouth! Large, very clean and spacious room - with the very best bathroom, with wonderful bathtub, plus shower!!
Falmouth
Over the years we have stayed in many hotels in Falmouth both large and small, but the Bosanneth is now our favourite. Comfortable with just the right balance of hospitality and efficiency.

I ended up not staying in this property as it was falsely advertised as a hotel when it was an self contained apartment.
