Stayed as part of our NC500 tour. Nice enough hotel. Good reception. All members of staff friendly towards us and our dog. Nice dining room set aside for guests with dogs and a pleasant lounge. Located in an area which saw quite a lot of critical WW2 activity so a visit to the North Atlantic Convoy museum is essential (other museums are available nearby too).
On the main road; not too noisy but busy with guests doing the NC500. Quite near a wonderful beach, 15 mins walk, and Gairloch Harbour. Room large and comfortable. Decent shower. Food - ok, nothing special to be honest, decent buffet breakfast.

The breakfast was a true delight - no grease and packed full of taste. Superb facilities and staff were friendly, polite and gave the impression that they were happy to help with any query. Stunning views as well, especially if you catch a break in the weather and have a sunny day over the Gairloch!

The professional way we were greeted and looked after. Friendly, polite, helpful staff with an excellent, caring manageress. The booked food in the evening was excellent value for money. A good set up at breakfast time with yet another kind and helpful member of staff, in one of the busiest hotels we have stayed in over the last 10 days.
A brilliant location with excellent walks nearby. Lovely for tiring out an over energetic dog.

What a wonderful B&B! Beautiful location.
Lovely decor throughout with a lovely en suite bathroom. Emma was a charming hostess and made us feel very welcome. We had wonderful breakfasts in our room each day. A delicious menu and very high quality produce. Really good value for money.
The Old School House was a highlight of our NC500 trip and we would definitely like to visit again.

Stayed in a single room with shared facilities to reduce cost. Perfectly acceptable and slept well. The hostel was clean and had a very good kitchen.
Was very lucky with the weather and really enjoyed walking over 4 days. So peaceful on the walks you could just melt . Birds were singing and bees buzzing. The leaflet showing a map of the walks is available at reception along with other information about the area. Very helpful. All the staff were friendly, so many thanks to them, especially Jess.
I love the location especially as it almost feels detached from the rest of the world. This is my second stay at this friendly hostel and I’ve booked again for next year.
