I loved the personal and adaptable touch from the team. It was a quiet period for the hotel and I sat in the lounge before dinner where the lady in charge put the fire on just for me and made me feel really comfortable and well looked after. I even had my dinner next to the fire rather than sitting alone in the dining room, it was a very lovely touch and one I will always remember. Thank you.

We loved our stay (group of 7) and was perfect for all our needs. We were attending a wedding close by. The house is meters away from a village shop and a lovely cafe. Amanda (the host) couldn’t be more helpful - including when we got delayed on our way to the house and had car trouble. Amanda managed to get us help and back on the road - she really went above and beyond.
The house was modern, clean and had so many lovely touches. Plenty of space for a large group and we’re just sorry that the Scottish weather meant that we could not appreciate the garden to its full use.
We loved all the board games and the kitchen staples were very handy.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Staff are great. Bar noise is a non issue. Bar has good cheap food and sky sports football!
The apartment is extremely comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. The hosts have paid great attention to detail and put a lot of effort into the small things, but it is these things that make the difference between liking and loving a property… and we loved it! They had left us milk in the fridge and tea, coffee and sugar too, as well as homemade ‘Fettercairn Arch’ Shortbread, which was a lovely, thoughtful touch.
The Burnside Apartment is cosy and well-appointed, with a well-equipped kitchen and lots of pleasing decorative touches. The hosts left a basket of goodies in the kitchen for our arrival. They are friendly and approachable and clearly keen for their guests to have a good time. Fettercairn is an attractive Aberdeenshire village well worth a wander around.
A lovely, historic village and very nice hotel. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast choice is excellent and delicious (smashed avocado and poached egg, for example 😋 ) and the evening meals also really good (e.g. gorgeous celeriac burger).
Such a quiet little apartment in Fettercairn! perfect for us when attending a wedding nearby and in a lovely little village. Two good sized bedrooms and the lovely hosts had already lit the fire for us arriving so it was nice and cozy. Definitely recommend!
Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Only disapointment was missing breakfast which was due to a problem outwith the hotels control and for which we were compensated. Would definitely stay again.
Dinner menu reasonably priced and food quality and quantity is excellent , staff very pleasant and helpful. hotel is in a very quiet area, we slept very well. Nice room recently upgraded.
the food in the bar was absolutely excellent, better than many 5* hotel restaurants (and I've been to a lot). staff were very friendly. checkin was painless.
