The evening meals in the restaurant were well-prepared and nicely presented, not big portions. Helpful and friendly front-of-house staff. Very accommodating thank you to them, the staff were a great advert for the island. The bed was fine and big and the bed room furniture was good, not so the rest of the suite.

The location is good and the room itself although small and basic was recently done up. Although I barely saw the staff when they were present they were all very kind and helpful.

Lovely to visit the Isle of Wight. A note about transportation... car rentals can be hard to come by. The best choice is probably in Newport - so plan on having to get there to pick up a car if you want to drive around the island. Otherwise, you can get to most places by bus and/or taxi. I recommend ASAP Taxi Service. Keith is the best - and full of island knowledge!

Room and pillows were uncomfortable. Fire safety light on all night above our heads. Noise between rooms particularly doors closing shut. Food disappointing

The bus service was excellent as I was dependent on public transport. It would be good at Fishbourne Inn if they had a supply of bus timetables.
Ate at the Inn excellent
Not much in Fishbourne itself but as I wasn't there to sight see maybe there was!

Good access to ferry and other sights on the island.
Good access to ferry and other sights on the island. Close to Osborne House and the Garlic Farm. We felt the whole island was very clean and well kept. Roads were very quiet, apart from the centre of major towns. Would thoroughly recommend eating at The Hut in Colwell Bay - stunning food and right on the beach, so magical sunsets.

There are five bedrooms at the Fishbourne, all advertised as doubles and all offered at the same price.
But the room we were in could not, honestly, be described as "double". We would not mind paying the advertised price of £97 if the room had been a genuine double but it was not.
