The Leconfield (Adults Only) 5 stars

Hotel in Ventnor

Situated in Ventnor, 1.8 km from Ventnor, The Leconfield (Adults Only) features accommodation with a garden and free private parking. The hotel was wonderful. Probably one of the best we've ever stayed. Beautiful views from the room, peace and tranquility, Paul made us feel welcome from the outset and was able assist with our needs. The room itself was presented excellently. The dining area likewise. Cannot fault it.

The location was ideal, in front of the sea and close to restaurants and touristic attractions. Jo and Andy were lovely and very caring hosts. The rooms were very clean, bright, with an amazing view over the sea. Lastly, the breakfast was excellent. We highly recommend this B&B, which is by far the best we’ve had so far!

Villa Rothsay Hotel

Hotel in Cowes

Offering views of the nearby sailing boats, Villa Rothsay Hotel is located in Cowes, Isle of Wight. Free WiFi access is available, as well as free parking. This is a superb hotel. From the very start, the staff were very friendly and helpful. They also told us all about the history of the house. Our room was amazing and had the most wonderful sea views. The bathroom was immaculate with huge towels. The King sized bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. There were loads of period features in our room as well The sitting room was like going back in time with huge comfy sofas, loads of interesting books , games and a honour bar. After our dinner in town we used the lounge to end a perfect evening. The breakfast was 5 star plus and was served in style. Would highly recommend this gem of a hotel close to Cowes, will go back again.

Haven Hall Hotel 5 stars

Hotel in Shanklin

Situated within 2 acres of land, Haven Hall Hotel offers accommodation in Shanklin Isle of Wight. The property is located on the cliff top, offering views of the sea, cliffs and the bay. Gardens in this small hotel are just amazing and being such a small hotel you can just explore them without anybody else. Views over the sea are hard to beat. Location is just close enough Shanklin to walk to beach and restaurants in 15-20 minutes.

The Marine

Hotel in Ryde

Featuring a bar, shared lounge and views of sea, The Marine is located in Ryde, 2.3 km from Spring Vale Beach. The accommodation provides evening entertainment and a shared kitchen. Location is perfect. Right opposite the pier. I think it is just renovated, due to the freshly painted exterior. The shared bathroom is very clean which I am very surprised. The room is small but has all the facilities and storage room you need.

Charter House

Hotel in Newport

Set in Newport and with Carisbrooke Castle reachable within 2.5 km, Charter House offers express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, a restaurant, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. A fantastic location, clean rooms and a really pleasant feel about my stay, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. I did not have breakfast on my stay, but the word around the street is that, it is amazing and a must try.

FAQs about hotels on Isle of Wight

Wonders of Wordplay and Nature’s Way

With dramatic cliffs and unspoilt countryside, the Isle of Wight sits off England’s south coast. Ferries from Southampton cross The Solent to Cowes, a sleepy port which bursts into life during its annual regatta – Cowes Week.

Over the inlet is Osborne House, Queen Victoria’s summer home, while Henry VIII was behind the construction of the castle in Yarmouth. Neighbouring Freshwater is the closest town to the multi-coloured sands of Alum Bay. Next door are the Needles which you can’t thread, as the Wonders of the Isle of Wight saying goes. These eroded white cliff formations, one with a lighthouse, extend into the English Channel at the island’s south-western tip.

Near the southern tip is Chale, next to Blackgang Chine children’s amusement park, and close to Ventnor, on a hill sloping to the sea. Around the coast are the most popular beach resorts: Sandown with its nature reserve, and Shanklin with its cute Old Village and the most Isle of Wight hotels with indoor pools on Booking.com. Seaview also has a nature reserve, and nearby Ryde is a Victorian beach resort whose long pier is the docking point for ferries from Portsmouth.

Other hotels on the Isle of Wight are found in Wootton Bridge, with its steam railway, and the county town Newport, home to Carisbrooke Castle.
