The hotel was excellent and exceeded our expectations. A gorgeous room and very friendly staff. The food was superb also. The location was brilliant and right in the heart of the village. We stayed in the Queens room which also included a roll top slipper bath in the room which I loved. Sky tv with full package of sports and movies as a great additional touch.
The bar in the hotel is a lovely small friendly bar and the separate restaurant was also brilliant.
I know I have said the word brilliant a lot but this is the word to sum up this hotel.

Good location, rooms were spacious, the bathroom as well. There is room for improvement regarding the water pressure in the shower but nothing major.
But in general, clean place, good and safe location.

Freuchie is a small traditional-looking village close to the A9, surrounded by farmland and hillside scenery. There are other villages in the local area well worth a visit, and St Andrews is just a short drive away.

Freuchie is a very nice, quiet and if this is what you are looking for then you'll find it here. Walks and scenery, low traffic and a few small shops and a post office. It's also quite near to other bigger places.
It doesn't seem to have any ATMs or public toilets. There is a bar called the, Albert and of course the hotel I stayed at. There's a nice church in need of repairs to its organ, a cenotaph that also acts as a traffic island. The town hall was built in 1843.
