I said our recommendations were not met due to close proximity but Ellie was great and tried her best but was not possible so I have no problem! The hotel rooms were great- couldn’t fault them!
Thankyou to Ellie she had to put up with a million questions from me 😂

The little shop in the High Street that sells nick knacks and old stuff is great just to wonder around, we spent an hour in there and were amazed by the his collection of 1940s stuff right up to today.
Then the beach is just minutes walk away while demolishing an ice cream. What a great weekend.

A quaint little old fashioned town with just one main high street. Parking was free for two hours. Coffee shops and smaller individual shops but no major chain stores or fast food outlets. Just one fish and chip shop. The beach front had a lovely promenade but there are no stalls, shops or other areas to get a drink so take your own. Make sure you use the toilets at the end of the high street before you walk along the beach as there aren’t any others.

I enjoyed my stay here with my husband.
I enjoyed my stay here with my husband. We travelled from London after a bereavement for a few days rest. We enjoyed the pleasant, quiet surroundings and went on long walks. Shops and beach close by. There is a nice fish and chip shop and amenities less than 5 minutes walk from the location. If you travel by train, the walk from the station is 15 minutes. A number on the door for easier identification, when searching for it, would be helpful.

Beautiful location, one of the nicest and cleanest beaches...
Beautiful location, one of the nicest and cleanest beaches I’ve ever been to, absolutely love that there’s no vendors to spoil it. Nice high street, Some amazing roads and avenues with equally stunning houses of varying architecture. They must keep the strict bylaws that exist here to keep this location unique to the average British sea side, it’s a shame the railway level crossing gates are no longer manned. I would highly recommended visiting.

Town centre has an array of independent shops,&restaurants, as well as a few major chains. E.g Boots chemist. Greggs bakery, and Costa coffee shop. The high street leads to a stretch of green space ,which also provides well maintained public toilets . With various paths leading down to a beautiful sandy beach close in proximity.
Beach promenade continues along to Walton on the Naze.
Frinton -on- sea, is family friendly & quiet at night.
Visited during February half term 2022.

Loved the beach and pretty beach huts.
Loved the beach and pretty beach huts. Plenty of well-paved promenade to enjoy. A lot of the buildings were interesting, especially the art decco ones and the substantial dwellings in the back roads. However, we were appalled to find two shabby highrise blocks spoiling the sea-front. We felt that they may have been the result of very poor local gevernment planning in the 60s as they were so out of character in a town that has a reputation for being particular about its image.
All staff were friendly and helpful, the reception arrival was especially welcoming and waitresses approachable in dining room. All treatments were fabulous with well informed and skilful beauticians working in clean and spacious areas. Surrounding grounds were pretty, but would benefit from some groundsmen attention, especially the pond areas. Parking area was a bit of a trek to negotiate during wet weather! There was a laid back atmosphere generally around the hotel and with a few tweaks this could easiy have achieved exceptional ratings.
This place is beautiful. We booked this expecting just "a spa hotel" and it is so much more. There is an air of relaxation in the whole place. The room we had was beautiful and the bed was huge. Sunbathing by the lake in the morning was the highlight of our 24 hours there. The hydrotherapy and pools area was clean and spacious enough for everyone to relax when we went in there at 6pm.
The hotel itself was lovely - the pool and jacuzzi were great, and our room was large, modern and comfortable. Having a coffee machine in the room was a nice touch. The gowns and slippers provided are so comfortable! The grounds are beautiful too, with lots of ducks and we even spotted a little rabbit.
The room was much better than most hotel rooms: spacious, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything I needed. It was very close to the main street that had a fantastic pub serving excellent food and it was a stone throw from the beach.
The hotel was very clean, and the staff were excellent - friendly and helpful. The dinners we had - three in total were all delicious. The hotel is situated in beautiful tranquil gardens, and the rooms have views of the grdens.
