A lovely traditional pub in a great location for walking the Herriot's Way. We had local ale and delicious pub food for dinner, slept well in a comfy bed in a clean room, and were on our way after a delicious breakfast.

This is a fantastic location and well furnished.
This is a fantastic location and well furnished. The only drawback is the last bit of the road to the house. If your car has good ground clearance then don't hesitate as you should have a wonderful time.

Benmore cottage was lovely and cosy could do some updating.
It was easy to find, Gunnerside itself is very small it was pretty with the sun shinning, however the pub advertised had shut down although menus were left in the cottage for us, so disappointed..
Gunnerside was good for us as a base to travel about.
We took lots of food and did most of the cooking ourselves.
We did go to the Punchbowl for a meal which was nice but did have to
drive.
Yes we enjoyed Richmond Hawes Keld and lots of beauty spots.
