The room was very comfortable and looked like they had recently been upgraded and modern. The Breakfast was not up to standard and although the hotel was currently renovating the dining room, however the breakfast food was not good.

Boat House, hotel in Harbledown

Boat House is located in Whitstable, within 200 metres of Whitstable Beach and 10 km of University of Kent.

The location is amazing. The sea view and two outside balcony spaces are a real bonus. Having both a bath and shower is great. Having the fridge was really nice (although it wasn't very cold!) Lovely to have proper milk and some bottled water provided. The spaces were clean and welcoming. Having TVs in both rooms was nice. Great to have the parking space and that this was available before check in and after check out for a bit of extra time. Loved being able to get a nice coffee in the morning from the booth just outside. Overall we really enjoyed our stay! This is the second time we've stayed in this accomodation so that says a lot!

Hampton by Hilton Canterbury, hotel in Harbledown

Situated in Canterbury and with Canterbury East Train Station reachable within 500 metres, Hampton by Hilton Canterbury features a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property...

The hotel was on a pedestrian precinct, which I would describe as central to Canterbury. It had cafes, bars and shops/boutiques there. Further up on the High Street, we did witness a few homeless people begging on the street. But we engaged and said hello not just ignored them and they were polite back, so I didn't feel uncomfortable, and it didn't detract from how I felt about the area.

Located 100 metres from Whitstable Beach, Duke of Cumberland offers 4-star accommodation in Whitstable and features a garden, a restaurant and a bar.

Location is pretty central and very close from the beach. The amenities were very good (tea, coffee, complimentary water and local beers), and the decoration of the room is very stylish, room was big and bed was very comfy. Breakfast was very good and freshly prepared.

There are no shops, pubs or restaurants within walking distance but Canterbury is only 7 minutes away by car. Lots of footpaths for walking and enjoying the outdoors. Can walk to Canterbury in under 1 hour.
