Comfortable room close to rail line
Disappointed with breakfast no cerelal, fruit, yogurt, it took 35 mins for my scrambled egg to arrive i had to ask thought they had forgotton it i felt it was huge burden on staff to provide breakfast ,
It would be better to have breakfast as optional!!!!!

We come to visit relatives but we always find the shopping excellent, and the train connection from Harpenden to London is easy and fast. The apartment we stayed in is fairly close to the train station. There are plenty of choices for groceries. It is a small town but very walkable with some nice parks. A bus or the train will get you to St. Alban's and the Cathedral, museums and parks there.

Harpenden is a town that would appeal to a variety of people as it is diverse. Even though it is lively and busy in the evenings, it feels safe. There is an excellent choice of restaurants and a variety of outdoor spaces as well as shops. Zaza's Italian restaurant is central and a superb place to eat with a lovely atmosphere; also, The Old Cock Inn provides excellent service, food and accommodation for everyone, including families.

I've been going to Harpenden for many years as i have family that live there.
It's one of the nicest towns I've been to.
Free Parking is limited but there is paid parking just a short walk from the High Street.
There is an abundance of restaurants and pubs to fit all budgets.
There is shopping to be done in Harpenden but if you don't find what you want, St. Albans is a short 10-15 minute drive where you will find "the maltings" - It's an outdoor shopping centre but there are plenty of shops to find what you need.

Harpenden has a good selection of shops and restaurants.
Harpenden has a good selection of shops and restaurants. This is an attractive and genteel commuter town with a pleasant feel to it. It also has easy to central London, within 30 minutes by train, plus access to the local towns and countryside of Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.
Really lovely room and surprisingly quiet for a lively pub. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Some lovely touches such as the biscuits and fresh milk, great toiletries, plus the shower was excellent.
Pub was also excellent with fab food. I will definitely stay again when in Harpenden.
A beautiful old pub with a great bar and outdoor space. We arrived to find oysters and English sparkling wine available in the bar! What a great start to our mini break. The staff were very friendly and professional and have a great vision and enthusiasm for the pub and restaurant.
I stayed in Room 1 and loved it! Simply, but beautifully appointed with a very generous bathroom with bath tub, which I loved! Harpenden is rarely on my beaten path, but my stay here made it memorable and I'd 100% stay again.
The room was nice but the radiator made a lot of noise also the bins outside were emptied at 0420. Which I know is out of the control of the hotel but still made for broken sleep.!
Tony was extremely helpful and friendly. Nothing was any trouble to him. Thank you Tony. Knowing Harpenden as we do, having family there, made the visit all the more special.
The location was great as we had an event in Harpenden and it was a 2 minute walk.
We could park outside (limited to 2 spaces so we were lucky)
The beds were comfortable.
The hotel was well placed for our trip to Harpenden to meet relatives. The staff were friendly and organised. The owner explained that they had recently taken over
