The room was very comfortable and looked like they had recently been upgraded and modern.
The Breakfast was not up to standard and although the hotel was currently renovating the dining room, however the breakfast food was not good.

The location is amazing. The sea view and two outside balcony spaces are a real bonus. Having both a bath and shower is great. Having the fridge was really nice (although it wasn't very cold!) Lovely to have proper milk and some bottled water provided. The spaces were clean and welcoming. Having TVs in both rooms was nice.
Great to have the parking space and that this was available before check in and after check out for a bit of extra time.
Loved being able to get a nice coffee in the morning from the booth just outside.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay! This is the second time we've stayed in this accomodation so that says a lot!

The hotel was on a pedestrian precinct, which I would describe as central to Canterbury. It had cafes, bars and shops/boutiques there. Further up on the High Street, we did witness a few homeless people begging on the street. But we engaged and said hello not just ignored them and they were polite back, so I didn't feel uncomfortable, and it didn't detract from how I felt about the area.

The pub is located right in the middle of the town, which was ideal for access to shops. restaurants, the harbour and beach.
The room was delightful: nicely decorated/furnished, very comfortable, well thought out, clean and in good condition.
Very good shower and a nice bright bathroom. The complimentary bottles or water and local beer were a nice touch and much appreciated.
There was a good choice of cooked breakfasts and the ones we chose were excellent (perfect poached eggs!), served with nice coffee and juice. A very limited selection of cereal was also available on request.
Overall, we really enjoyed our brief stay and would happily recommend!

There are glorious walk ways surrounding the village & outer fields, sky at night throws out the wonder of the universe, so star gazing is available.
Herne Bay is only a couple of miles away if sun sea & salted caramel ice cream is your choice, easily accessible by bus from outside the church bus routes to Canterbury are also accessible.
