Perfectly positioned at the water's edge, overlooking one of Dorset's most picturesque estuaries, Harbour Hotel & Spa Christchurch features a 2 AA-Rosette restaurant and a luxury modern spa.

Clean, comfortable, beautiful setting, excellent staff and a really comfortable bed. (So much so... I asked who made the bed, to buy my own)

Avon Causeway Hotel, hotel in Highcliffe

Nestled on the edge of the New Forest National Park, the Avon Causeway Hotel is just 1 mile from Bournemouth Airport. With a bar and a restaurant, it is 10 minutes’ drive from Christchurch.

We arrived to a warm welcome from staff. The property was spotlessly clean and the room had everything needed for a short stay. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and cooked to perfection. All in all a, very pleasant experience at a fantastic price.

Highcliffe is a beautiful place for all ages, it has the best beach, views and sunsets in the world, plenty of parking. You do have to do your research with ferry times, this year 2024, the ferry from mudifud Quay doesn't start until June. due to repairs.

Highcliffe is not a Castle, just an expensive country house built around 1830 as wings on to an older private chapel. It's over a quarter-mile from The Lord Bute restaurant-with-rooms (by the old gate-lodges) which clings to the family name, more familiar in Cardiff and Scotland.

We wish we had known how noisy the rooms are at the front of the hotel ! If you dont mind keeping the triple glazed windows shut you can have the air conditioning on !! Still lots of noise!! It got worse when there was a commotion at the restaurant next door in the early hours! It was so loud we picked up the names of two of the group!!

My boyfriend and I love to walk, we found many places to walk in our time staying here but we wish we had more time to stay to explore more. Most definitely go over to hengistbury head and burst castle. Lovely long walks. All the coffee shops/cafes we went are lovely and the coffees are spot on. The food was fantastic and nicely presented.

Highcliffe holds fond memories for our family.

Highcliffe holds fond memories for our family. Ideally located for beach holidays and trips into the New Forest. There are many relaxing things to do within easy walking distance and plenty of places of all levels to stay and eat. Slightly 'old school' in feel but bang on tend for eats and teats.
