Friendly staff and a great breakfast. They were very helpful in changing us to a new room when we found a broken bed in one of the outside rooms. The new new room inside the actual hotel was wonderful. The best nights sleep in years.

We were very lucky with the weather and had a wonderful walk on Dartmoor. We were happy with the local shops and parking. Ivybridge has much interesting local history too ! Near the noisy A38, but this makes Ivybridge very accessible! We made a couple of trips to the coast from Ivybridge too.

Ivybridge is convenient for Plymouth and its attractions such as the Barbican, and the Hoe. Also near are Buckfast Abbey, Becky Falls - a picturesque waterfall, Mothecombe Beach, Noss Mayo, Newton Ferrers, Tavistock and many other interesting places.

Well positioned for walking in the National Park.
Well positioned for walking in the National Park. Just off the main road, so transport connections are good. There's also a main line train station and bus connections. Several shops, pubs offering accomodation, and restaurants. We had a very pleasant meal at Nandons (Indian). Lots of parking available but some noisy motor bikes.

We caught up on events since I was last there it was like a friendly homecoming. Inside the annex the heating was already on and although it was near freezing outside it was warm and cosy inside. The location is quiet with the excellent Filham Park close by and the village and shops of Ivybridge are a short walk or drive away.DavidUnited Kingdom
