A warm, friendly, relaxing experience in a peaceful location, allowing easy access to Carmarthenshire & Pembrokeshire. The hosts were lovely and my accommodation was so spacious and comfortable, lovely bedroom with facilities for preparing tea/coffee and light meals in the day, separate annexe for breakfast & watching TV, fantastic breakfast which kept me going all day!! I especially liked my eggs formed in a heart shape, what a lovely touch!! Caroline invited me to watch her Ukulele group at the Village Hall, where I was made very welcome. Would definitely recommend.

Overall kidwelly cottage is a beautiful cottage.

Overall kidwelly cottage is a beautiful cottage. Facilities and cleanliness was good. Cats and dog visit from next door to say hello. Friendly and clean. Area and amenities outside kidwelly if you don't mind a 30 minute drive is so worth checking out. Hot tub/jacuzzi was nice and they do advertise children's play area. Which there was but was shared with neighbours children. Expected a lot more privacy then what we got. Neighbours popping round asking us for things that should already be out of the cottage. Children back and fourth across property when we was trying to enjoy our stay. Building work being done which when we arrived had scaffolding up which was was taken down over our stay. Outside area where table tennis and laundry facilities where was very dusty off the work being carried out. Trampoline was nice and big kids loved it. BBQ facilities where very misleading. In report said BBQ facilities available. Where they were but at an additional cost. BUT ALL THAT ASIDE... KIDWELLY COTTAGE WAS LOVELY. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL COTTAGE.

This farmhouse is full of warmth, character and ambience.

This farmhouse is full of warmth, character and ambience. It was wonderfully warm and comfortable. It would be a great place for a short break or writers retreat. There is also other self catering accommodation available at the same location which would be great for a family holiday.

    We had a wonderful time.

We had a wonderful time. The place was warm and welcoming and the host and hostess were just brilliant. They followed covid rules and the place was very neat and tidy. We could not have found fault in terms of cleanliness, food and their hospitality. The vegan breakfast was just perfect. We stayed here with of children and they could not have been more comfortable. They enjoyed playing with their child. They suggested good places to go with children and we are definitely staying with them soon. Thank you for making our stay really wonderful.

Kidwelly is a small but historic town, very well maintained with splendid buildings reflecting the story of the area from Norman times through to the Industrial Revolution. The people we talked to were all friendly and helpful. There are a number of pubs and restaurants as well as varied take away options. The town does have a post office, news agent and pharmacy (all close to each other)as well as some small speciality shops, the craft chocolate shop for example is well worth seeking out.Additionally there are good public transport links with buses to the regions bigger towns and cities and a railway station, though it is worth remembering that a lot of train services are by request.
