The staff were very polite and accommodating. We were late on arrival due to a tour in Edinburgh taking longer than expected. On arrival we asked to postpone our pre-booked evening meal, this was not a problem and the meal was very good.

Great location, fantastic sea views. Staff very helpful and polite and great with pets. Food and water bowls were provided in the room for our dog along with some treats which he appreciated. Enjoyed our walk from the hotel to Earlsferry along the Fife costal trail.

A grand country estate with lots of activities, great food.

A grand country estate with lots of activities, great food. We ate twice both nights, food was delicious. All the staff were polite and friendly from Breakfast to Dinner. Didn't visit the pool this time but booked up for another stay so will go. We stayed for 3 nights and could have stayed longer. Played on the Eden course and St. Micheals. Room was lovely, bed comfortable, liked the little reading light aswell as the lamp on the side of the bed .A little bit of luxury to have bathrobes. Breakfast timings later than expected, was great to be able to have breakfast after 10 am.

We stayed in the woodcutters cottage for 2 nights.

We stayed in the woodcutters cottage for 2 nights. It is 2 bedroomed, one at either end of the cottage, both en-suite. A large sitting room and a separate kitchen with dining table and chairs. Plastic table and chairs outside in the small garden. Parking is at the end of a path leading to the cottage. Finding the cottage was very difficult, the directions have you looking for a road that is there but didn’t have a road name on it. Took us 20 mins to find it. The directions to it could have been a lot clearer. We stayed here as it was my daughters wedding. Beautiful place to get married.

I stay at Kilconquhar Castle Estate whenever I visit Fife for work and golf. It is in a perfect location close to many of the top golf courses in the world. The staff are always personable, accommodating, and helpful. The villas, although a bit dated, are perfect for golf holidays with a group of friends. We loved having the three-hole warm-up area available before hitting the links, as most Scots do not warm up before playing. The bar is a great place to unwind after a day on the links. I highly recommend the estate.

I had a fantastic stay . My only criticism was that the manger on shift was not approachable . I had thought I had booked a room that was not attached to the hotel . This actually wasn’t a problem as the room turned out lovely . However the way it was handled wasn’t appropriate and not how you should deal with a complaint . All other staff were lovely and made up for this.

Some areas of the hotel are tired and dated however it’s good value. We had an issue without first room however, reception were quick to resolve. A great meal in the bistro (fish and chips were fabulous) and waiting staff were helpful and efficient. As we had an early funeral to attend, the bistro kindly arranged coffees and bacon rolls to takeaway, a very kind gesture.

Beautiful grounds to walk around and very quiet. Meals in the bistro were excellent. Our rooms were spacious with large beds and beautiful bathrooms. We stayed in the castle and it was historical and lovely. St. Andrews was a short drive away and there are many other places to visit. This was the best lodging of our 8 day stay in Scotland.

The hotel could be much nicer than it is. The location and grounds are very nice but our room was small, dark, dated and had a musty smell. It didn’t feel clean and needed updating. The WiFi was poor. We had booked a double room but it was in fact just two single beds pushed together.

As we needed 3 single beds we were allocated the Garden Flat rather than Hotel room. This turned out to be better accommodation as we had a place to sit and relax.
