I was travelling with elderly parents and the staff could not have helped more ,or been more accommodating and friendly - I cant thank them enough for going above and beyond at every stage of our trip.

Great location. Quiet but central. Lovely staff. We stayed in The Den Room. Lovely to have a bar at the hotel as well. We had a view of garden which made our room nice and bright. Comfortable bed. All the expected amenities in the room

Set in Anstruther, 12 km from St Andrews Bay, Balcomie Links Hotel offers accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.
Easy to visit nearby villages for eating out.
We went to the Ship Inn at Elie for dinner one night.
We also went along the road to Morton of Pitmilly for one of their pop up burger and beers nights.
The coastal walks are really interesting with some a bit more difficult than others.
And St Andrews is a short drive.

Kingsbarns is a lovely village and very close to the beach (which has good facilities, i.e. car park, toilet, take away shack). I can't comment on the pub as we didn't use it. Seems a peaceful village.

Accommodation was in a great quiet location with only a short walk to the beach for the Fife Coastal path. Everyone we met in the village was very friendly. Would have eaten in the local pub but their restaurant wasn't open. Had lovely smoked fish and chips in The Wee Chippy, Anstruther which was sadly overlooked by those queuing for the more popular establishment. Can also recommend tea and scones in Gorgeous Cafe, St Andrews. Raspberry, blueberry and white chocolate with clotted cream - heaven.

Kingsbarns is a very pretty village surrounded by stunning countryside. Lovely beach and beautiful country walks on your doorstep. Also very easy access to St Andrews and other Fife villages. Cambo House is lovely and does great lunches. They specialise in vegan and vegetarian food. We had lunch, coffee and cake and it was all delicious. Definitely worth a visit.
The cottage is cosy, comfortable and cleaned to an exceptional standard. It's in a peaceful location with Kingsbarns beach a short drive away and easy access to the towns of the East Neuk.
We particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches like fresh flowers, a pint of milk and some sweet treats left for us and you'd be hard pressed to think of anything not already provided in the kitchen .
All in all we had a perfect relaxing break
This was a rental property and the second time we have stayed there. Lovely, quiet location just a few miles from St Andrews. Great location for the coastal Fife area. Lovely beach nearby. For those who play, Kingsbarn golfclub is highly rated. Kingsbarns distellery is a great place to visit as is Cambo estate.
