The check in was quick. The room was big and right in the centre of town. The room had a nice bath and access to and from the hotel relatively easy free long stay car park 5 mins away.

Idyllic spot. The pub is also a wonderful mini motor museum so there's lots to see and look at. Fabulous walking on the doorstep. A friendly welcome and nice evening meal. Proper pub grub. Our room was a little tired and dated but spotlessly clean. Thank you 😊

Walks and cycle rides in every direction (roads not too frightening); both sides of Mallerstang worth walking as well as the valley (Garsdale rail station at far end); near Pennine Bridleway, on C2C I think; historic with the viaducts, Settle and Carlisle Railway

Didn't really stay long enough to explore Kirkby Stephen,...
Didn't really stay long enough to explore Kirkby Stephen, just two days to do two hill walks, but it seems to have a lot of potential for me to return and explore its history etc. Disappointed that information at bus stop was poor - one timetable was too high to see, and the route of another service wasn't obvious to the visitor. Also, some public footpaths in the surrounding countryside were very difficult to follow because of poor signage - some is very old and confusing.

Kirkby Stephen is a great location to base a walking holiday, being surrounded by moors and valleys to explore. There's also a preserved railway to visit too. There's also a wide selection of of cafes, restaurants and pubs serving good quality food with friendly service.
The warmest of welcomes from the owner set the scene for a wonderful stay in this great place. The property is full of character and set right in the middle of the little town.
The room was spotless, roomy and the bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast was delicious and freshly made having ordered it the evening before.
Great hosts who seemed genuinely interested, chatty and enjoying what they do which makes all the difference.
Highly recommend this wonderful B&B if you are looking to stay in Kirkby Stephen.
This is an excellent farmstay, beautiful location, close to local village and pubs. The views are idyllic. The room and facilities were exceptional, we stay in alot of b&bs and hotels, and would highly recommend this farmstay. The breakfast was varied, lots of cereals, fruit, juices and the full English breakfast was exceptional - proper high quality bacon and sausages - thank you very much. Angela and her team looked after us very well. Very warm and welcoming after a long drive.
Contemporary, quirky hotel in the centre of Kirkby Stephen. Couldn't fault any aspect of the hotel, food, accommodation and service. Will visit again.
Generously sized single room. Well appointed and quiet overnight.
I had an exceptional steak and ale pie in the evening. The breakfast was perfectly prepared.
Nice room (with a fan) and view over market sq. The lady who checked us in I think her name was Jules deserves a pay rise…she has all the customer service skills required to encourage return visit. The young lady at breakfast was also nice.I would recommend the Pennine hotel and would rebook.
Coffee in room. A good breakfast! Nice to have the feel of a character hotel instead of a multinational chain. Perfect location for enjoying Kirkby Stephen and surrounding area.
Nice, peaceful location that was a 30-40 minute walk from Kirkby Stephen station along quiet footpaths. Friendly staff and fabulous food with a great range of choice.
