Woodhead view, hotel in Kirkintilloch

Offering a garden and garden view, Woodhead view is located in Kirkintilloch, 14 km from Glasgow Botanic Gardens and 14 km from Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.

It’s great, good position, feels secure and plenty of parking. The interior is really well done and very nice to spend time in. Very modern kitchen with more kitchen equipment than you could ever need and a really nice fridge with ice and cool water on tap. The beds are super comfy, there’s a telly in pretty much every room including the bathrooms and a full sky package with movies too! Stewart and Josh can’t do enough for you and have really gone the extra mile to make this place welcoming, luxurious and comfortable.

Crowwood Hotel and Alba Restaurant, hotel in Kirkintilloch

Halo Crowwood Hotel Glasgow enjoys a relaxed out of town atmosphere. The hotel is located adjacent to Crowwood Golf Club and just a 10-minute drive from Glasgow city centre.

The restaurant had a tasty mixture of Indian and Scottish menus, which was interesting....though the free poppadoms seemed a little stale.

ibis budget Glasgow Cumbernauld, hotel in Kirkintilloch

Located in Glasgow, 19 km from Glasgow Cathedral, ibis budget Glasgow Cumbernauld provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. This 2-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk.

The location is perfect for the BMX track, which we came for as my grandson competes. We are back again in 3 weeks for a longer stay. Just a shame the red deer does not do breakfasts.

With the canal running straight through the town there was ample opportunity to have a stroll & many cafes, bars etc for the weary traveller. The Park at the bottom end of town was lovely & the war memorials & historic connections Appenine Wall, Romans etc was interesting. The large children's play area was busy & the children seemed to enjoy the facilities. The main street is quite long & the variety of shops was very pleasing with virtually now boarded up premises.

The hotel is situated in the town of Kirkintilloch and is a family run concern. Everything seemed modern or recently refurbished, and room had all the usual facilities, with good bathroom/shower. There is private (barriered) parking adjacent, which is worth knowing ahead of arrival. The town itself is quite historic and great for strolling about, with a range of places to eat, but the hotel food was excellent. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

The Hotel has a great atmosphere when you walk in and the staff are very welcoming and professional. The room was clean and confortable, powerfull shower (always important) and hot drink facility. I had my evening meal in the restaurant and the restaurant manager is very focused on making sure everything is spot on. Breakfast was the same with the team making sure they kept up the high standards. . Basically this place sets the benchmark. Many thanks.

Beautifully renovated hotel, the food was a highlight! The hotel is recently renovated but keeps snippets of its history. We had booked 3 bedrooms, as we have a big family. Unfortunately the beds weren't suitable for two members of our group - both over 6ft. In general the rooms were a little snug, as we didn't spend too much time in the room it was manageable. I would stay at this hotel again, if I was visiting Glasgow again.
