The village has one pub but otherwise does not have a lot to offer. However there are some very good country walks and it is idealy located for getting around Constable country and visiting Colchester and Lavenham.

The hotel is based on beautiful grounds, of which we were able to absorb after taking a walk around the golf course. The view from our room was beautiful (Tamara suite).

Although we weren't able to make much use of them with kids and having commitments in the daytime, the gym looked decent and the pool area had a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Also a big fan of the apple and mango soaps and moisturisers 😂
