The village has one pub but otherwise does not have a lot to offer. However there are some very good country walks and it is idealy located for getting around Constable country and visiting Colchester and Lavenham.PeterGermany

Although I had a couple of treatments which were excellent. No robes for hotel guests, only those on a spa break wasn't very good either. Also reserved beds in the spa for those on a spa break meant that hotel guests had very few to go round. The food was OK in the Sports Bar, but the other restaurants were very expensive.DebbieUnited Kingdom

Plenty of good quality comfortable chairs in the Bar area, as well as other quieter areas of the hotel. A bonus if one is reading! The Head Waiter was outstanding, and the Dining Room very well organised and running like clockwork when he was present. Everywhere particularly clean & tidy. Dinner in the restaurant was very good, although the a la carte menu was limited & food could have been a bit warmer. For a group of friends who are staying, the hotel can accommodate 3 adults in one room, with normal sized beds, making the stay excellent value for money.
