Hillscourt, hotel in Lickey End

Set in 25 acres of beautiful grounds, Hillscourt is nestled in the Lickey Hills, 6 miles from Bromsgrove. It offers modern rooms with flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, a bistro-style restaurant and bar.

I love staying here as it is a straightforward, no frills kind of place, but it is always clean, quiet and the staff are ever-so-nice. I haven't eaten dinner here before and usually find something in the area, but ordered the jerk chicken burger and it was amazing. Fries were great and the coleslaw (I don't really like coleslaw) was so tasty. Breakfast is a straightforward buffet, but the bacon, sausage, eggs etc are very, very tasty. Definitely recommend it as it is great value for money.

Greenland's Inn, hotel in Lickey End

Set in Longbridge, 4 km from Lickey Hills Country Park, Greenland's Inn offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a bar.

Situated in a good location close to Longbridge Railway Station, the shopping district and the main road network. The room was reasonable, the bed was comfy and the linen clean. The en-suite bathroom was okay but could do with a deep clean and some ventilation.

Meadow Farm Redditch by Marstons Inns, hotel in Lickey End

Located on the outskirts of Redditch, Meadow Farm Redditch by Marstons Inns offers en suite accommodation, a bar, restaurant, free Wi-Fi and free parking.

I loved the location and the fact that the main hotel building was behind the barn with the bar and restaurant, so it meant no pub noise.. It looks very pretty and has clearly been built sympathetically with the surroundings. It was immaculately clean, even down to the net curtains at the windows. The bed was comfortable, as was the rest of the room. It wasn't souless like a lot of hotel rooms can be. The room was a good size, as was the shower room, again, unlike some other hotels where I felt like I had been stuck in the broom cupboard because I was travelling alone! I ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely. Good value, well prepared and the staff were absolutely lovely.
