Loved the quality and choice of food. Stayed as a family so needed an early evening casual meal, the sports bar was perfect for that. Order at the bar and was advised how long it would take, food arrived within that timescale. Ice cream and waffle parlour was lovely, visited late afternoon (it shuts at 5pm). Breakfast is served in the posh restaurant, buffet style. Everything was lovely, freshly cooked and replenished. Staff throughout very helpful. I had added a fun request at time of booking for the 'towels to be shaped into an animal' which housekeeping did with great skill and much to the joy of our son.

    It was amazing!

It was amazing! I went with my then girlfriend who is now my fiancée, the staff went above and beyond to make it a special event for both of us, the room was set up for the big question and she loved every second of it, thanks to all involved

Loved the room away from main hotel but not the sound of someone in next room peeing. Loved waffle cafe but thought it was a tad expensive for 2 bits of waffle. No wonder nor busy. Breakfast fantastic. Loads of choice Excellent products thick bacon. Good sausage. Nice bread. Catered for all. Continental looked good too. Quilts comfy and beds for twins superb.

Unfortunately the ceiling had damage from what appeared to be a leak. Black mould was appearing and the view, you opened the window to a lovely court yard strip with a locked chemical box and two large trolleys with a couple of towels that were going green 🤔 However, breakfast was fantastic and plentiful and bar food was very good. If you wish to have your room serviced you need to put the card out the night before. Reception forgot to tell us this. Fantastic massage received in the spa. Booking required in advance of a good week required

Fantastic spa break with plenty of fitness classes available and a huge well equipped gym with friendly staff. Loved the location with forest walks and pub up the road. The sports bar, cafe and restaurant were all excellent and deluxe room very clean and comfortable. Would definitely be returning to this hotel as only over an hours drive from London.

This hotel caters for golfers only .

This hotel caters for golfers only . We wanted a nice quiet few days , using the spa and pool . However they were not available. There was nowhere pleasant to sit outside and enjoy the weather . The website is misleading, the place is not suitable for those who want a relaxing time .

The apartments, the spa health club, the grounds, was able to bring our own food and drink to the apartments so did not have to leave the apartment to eat out. The golf course the guys found amazing. The ladies enjoyed the steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi. The only criticism under the beds was very dusty and hand wash should be provided in all bathrooms instead of the little hand soap.

We have bee going to Champneys in Liphook for years and decided to do something different, so chose the Old Thorn Hotel as a change. Loved the rooms they were very comfortable and spacious, the sports bar, restaurant and cafe all very good. However the enormous gym and fitness classes were excellent and run by a very professional team. The beauty salon was first class and treatments reasonably priced. We enjoyed a woodland walk and a having a GnT in the pub down the road. The only thing that was missing was an outdoor pool and lounge area.

I had such a great trip here. The hotel is beautiful, so many facilities. I really enjoyed my time in the spa. Staff were so so accommodating; I didn't have many queries but the ones I did have were attended to efficiently and with care. I especially want to thank Daniel on reception who made my welcome so lovely. I will be back for sure.
