The price of our booking was incredibly good, so we booked it as we had almost left it too late for accommodation for the Wonderwool Show at Builth Wells.
I will admit that were weren’t expecting much for £33 a night each for bed and breakfast. But we were very pleasantly surprised.
Cleanliness…..couldn’t fault.
Decor……not tired or dingy but fresh and sparkly.
Beds……perfectly adequate!
Breakfast…..the cooked breakfast pleased my friend, and the cereal pleased me. Unlimited coffee and toast as well.
The area was quiet, and although we were there on the Friday and Saturday night, in a room above a junction in the road, we were not disturbed by traffic noise at all.
I don’t have any qualms about recommending this simple hotel to those who want a bargain!!!!! It was very good value for money!

Situated in a lovely rural location with fabulous views: the only sounds were those of birdsong and bleating lambs. It’s the best equipped house we’ve ever stayed in, there was nothing you could hope for that wasn’t available and spotlessly clean. We had a most comfortable and warm stay as the weather was on the cool side. Our hosts were so welcoming and full of information on great walks and days out. We will definitely be back!
