Breakfast on the Sunday was not wonderfully cooked. Saturdays was much better. Parking was good.

One of the nicest hotels I've every stayed in. The restaurant is exceptional, and exceeded all expectations. Staff were attentive and friendly. Room was immaculate, and fully stocked daily.

This historic country inn has delicious food and luxury rooms. It is within a few km of the famous Celtic Manor Resort, home of the 2010 Ryder Cup. The Old Barn Inn dates back to the early 1750s.

The manor was renovated in 2023 and has two golf courses, a fitness club, a spa, superb meeting facilities, and two on-site restaurants.

The hotel itself and the facilities are very impressive. The older parts of the building are beautiful, with decor in keeping with the architecture, and many original features retained. The room was comfortable, spacious, tasteful and spotlessly clean, with nice amenities and a great view. Staff were very friendly, professional and accommodating, especially on reception and in the Leisure Suite. My Mum and I took full advantage of the heated pool, jacuzzi and sauna, passing through the large, air-conditioned gym on the way. The location is tranquil and pleasant to walk around, plus there was plenty of free, private parking on site and a pro golf shop, buggy hire etc.

Offering a terrace and views of the garden, The Lychgate is situated in Caldicot. Parking is not guaranteed There is a free public car park 200 yards across the road in Caldicot Castle..
