Blooms Apartment, hotel in Marple

Located in Marple in the Greater Manchester region, Blooms Apartment provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

The property was finished to very high standards and had everything we needed. The location was great and parking space really useful. We managed to do a 9 mile walk from the door taking in all the local sights which was a bonus. Very comfortable and quiet with plenty of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Jane, the host, was fabulous and sent plenty of updates to ensure our stay went smoothly. We will definitely come back if in the area. Highly recommended.

Hotel were good. Helpful and polite. We booked an over night stay but couldn’t arrive until 6.30pm 30mins before the pool closed to children at 7pm. The gym team were brilliant and rushed us through because they could see my 6 year old itching to get in the pool in time. Thank you

It’s on a river and there’s a canal nearby as well. The main part of the town is to the right of the station, but there are two pubs, restaurants takeaways to the left as well. There’s an old mill if you cross the river and go left.

Marple was an overnight stay on a motor trip from The Cotswolds and a tour trough the Peak District. We ate at the Norfolk Inn, an easy walk downhill from our B&B, but a challenge on return with heavy traffic, exhaust fumes from autos and trains. Really can’t review Marple beyond that, although the people in the pub were very nice.

It was like going back in time, £5.50 for the old fashioned cinema that has an ice cream sales (£3 for 2 ) interval mid film. An Italian, and nice food Cambodian restaurant. Bevi, a real ale bar where a pint, and a "half bottle" large glass of wine was £8.50. Canal side path walks, 16 locks, tallest aqueduct, the town is split by a river, with pubs, and restaurants both sides. There are clothes, nicnack, and charity shops for the ladies to browse, a rail station , and it proved to be a good base for a variety of trips/walks out.

Marple is a small village near the Derbyshire Dales, which is why we chose it. Within walking distance there was 2 pubs and an Indian and Chinese restaurant. We had a few drinks at the Norfolk arms, which had a band playing and was busy. Highly recommended. We then had a meal at the Indian Purple Pakora which was excellent.

I am biased because I was born and raised in Marple but it is still a wonderful place to visit. The Hive apartment is situated on the main pedestrianised street in the centre of Marple. Opposite is a cafe with tables on the street. It sells fresh bread and cakes and take away food. It also open for dining all day ,including evenings, and Sunday. There is an almost continental culture on the street with bars and cafes with tables outside. There are many restaurants all over town. My favourites are The Dolce Vita Italian restaurant and the Cambodian on Stockport Rd. five minutes walk from the apartment There are picturesque walks along the canal

It was a lovely comfortable flat overlooking Marple Bridge high street. We managed to park in the road outside the apartment although the pub car park was not very far away if we had had to park there. Definitely recommend this property.
