The location of the hotel in the quaint square of stow. The gardens were lovely and the residents lounge was very warm, inviting and cosy. The bedrooms were very comfortable. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming.

It's a quiet village with pretty Cotswold stone cottages, a pub, church and dovecote. A good location to drive to other villages nearby such as Bourton on the Water, Morton on the Marsh, Stowe on the Wold, Lower Slaughter and Bibury. No foodshops nearby though so take provisions and stock up when you find one. You definitely need a car here. There is no nightlife here, theatres or cinemas but perfect for a peaceful break.

We didn’t go to Naunton, but Bourton-on-the-Water is only 10 minutes down the road, a very popular place. Stow was just 20 minutes away. You are not without many options … Sudeley Castle is very close too.
