Breakfast was good but lacked a couple of key items.....including honey and mushrooms
The swimming pool/spa us a let down. The pool.is very small and once there are 6 or 7 people in there it feels cramped. Its poorly decorated no jacuzzi no music no greenery and no daylight/windows.
The local area has nothing near by only houses.

The hotel was right at the heart of the boat show marina where we came for. It was literally one step away from the entrance of the marina and we could even see it all from our room window. There was complimentary gin left for us in the room which made the cherry on top. Room was very large, very comfortable great big bed, nice clean bathroom. Restaurant was also great at the ground floor.

The breakfast was very comprehensive with choices to suit everybody. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Plenty of parking.
With a swimming pool, spa and gym, the 4-star Solent hotel is set in woodland between Southampton and Portsmouth.
