Evening meal was good with attentive waiting staff. Room was poor with wardrobe door hanging off. Spa bath did not work and had a horrible smell once it had drained. Hoar Cross Hall: The room was disgustingly dirty.
Hoar Cross Hall: The room was disgustingly dirty. There was a build up of dust on the ceiling fan that scattered all over the bed. There was flood damage to the ceiling and wall that impacted the plug sockets below. The phone, hair dryer and whirlpool bath did not work. There were red wine stains all over the carpet. There were food splatters on the wardrobe. We had to notify reception twice to get the dust cleaned from the bed and ceiling fan. It was suspicious that they offered a fifty pound gift voucher at check in before we saw the room. They were obviously aware that there were issues with the “luxury” room we had pre booked. I’d rather they had pre warned us and given the opportunity to have a different, i.e. clean room, rather than waiting for us to show up and not giving us a choice. Every time we went to reception and there was another customer there, they were complaining about their room, e.g. the tv wasn’t working, the room was dirty, etc. Finally, we couldn’t not enjoy the beautiful external terrace because there was a wasp infestation.

We had both breakfast and lunch at the hotel and the food was excellent. However the customer service experience lacked consistency and there was a marked difference between those providing good customer service those who did not.

I enjoyed my stay at Robins Nest the accommodation was superior, and importantly, far cleaner than the local hotels we have stayed in over the last few years we will now continue with Airbnb stays.IreneUnited Kingdom
