The photos did not do it justice, a beautiful place with great views overlooking the seaside, immaculately clean and tidy. Location is easy to find thanks to the host. Would love to come back in summer as me and my partner enjoyed it so much.would also recommend it to others.
With wonderful views across Penzance Bay, Hotel Penzance offers award-winning cuisine and boutique bedrooms. Guests can relax in the swimming pool in the Mediterranean-style gardens.

Room was cosy and warmed up very quickly as it was very cold outside. Excellent views of the sea from the window.
The reception was at a good height to see a great view ahead. Very warm and cosy with a choice of seating and books to read.
The Union Hotel is in the centre of Penzance. A 5-minute walk from the sea, the 17th-century building houses Hamilton’s Restaurant and also Nelson’s Bar, where there is free WiFi.

The room appeared to have been recently refurbished with new carpets ,shower and furniture which was welcome, overall appearance of the hotel seemed a lot cleaner compared with my last visit.
The unique and original rooms at the 17th-century Artist Residence are each uniquely designed in an eclectic, rustic style, with a curated collection of limited edition artworks throughout.
WE ARE NOT A DOG/PET FRIENDLY INN. In the market town of Penzance, The Longboat Inn is right opposite Penzance Train Station and a 5-minute walk from the beach.
Set in a Georgian mansion, YHA Penzance features a traditional restaurant and leafy gardens. Penzance Seafront is a 15-minute walk away, and Newlyn Harbour is just 1.5 miles away.
My partner and I love this area. Newlyn has some fab food places, Tolcarne Inn and Argoe need to be booked in advance but Sky mackeral bar works as first come first served but has quick turnover. Good local pubs and some other eating places we have not tried. Mousehole is a 45 minute walk along the coast path/road and Penzance 40 minutes the other way. Both have some great eating places as well. Newlyn has some very steep areas with small cottage roads so if a nervous driver or hate hills look at Penzance or flat areas of Newlyn. NB: Newlyn is a fab working fishing port so if you do not like fish you can get meat options but whats the point as you will be missing out. NB2: Some eating places will close for the winter so check websites first.

Newlyn is a working fishing village with lots of cobbled streets and old fishermen’s cottages. It’s a good location for getting around the west and north places of the area. Easy access to Penzance by bus for shopping.
There is a town trail which shows all the interesting buildings and areas, like the Fradgan, the oldest part. There is a cinema and the Newlyn Art Gallery. Good fish and chips and plenty of pubs!
