The couple that run it are so lovely, nothing was too much trouble, as soon as we arrived they told us about things we could see and do, there was also a blue book in the room with information aswell. Our room was amazing, the comfort of the bed, the space, the facilities not to mention the bathroom, it was lovely, so big.
Breakfast was a choice of cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit juices, that was even before we got our cooked breakfast, Debbie even remembered everyone's order, was very nice and professional, even during it, checked to see if we had enough toast, tea and coffee. We were so impressed with the value for money that we have already booked to go back in October, there is a scooter rally (which Heath is in to) and our wedding anniversary aswell, so we will have another great weekend 😀 the beach is only a 5 minute walk and the pier and shops about a 10 minute walk, although the weather wasn't great (no one could help that) there was still plenty to see and do.
Can't wait to return, looking forward to it already. X x

Very friendly hosts, exceptionally welcoming. Place was immaculately kept and obviously recently refurbished. High quality hand and shower soaps in a large dispenser so approved of the lack of wastage. Tea, coffee, nice biscuits in room as well as water, iron and good quality hair dryer.
Dressing table and mirror actually near the hair dryer plug which is surprisingly rare in a hotel!
Comfy bed.
Excellent breakfast, lots of choice and full table service, beautifully cooked.
Situated in a pleasant area just beyond the top of the main seafront, the Marine Lodge features large windows which offer panoramic views over the bowling greens to the beach and sea.

Absolutely wonderful stay, great feel to the place, owners are so friendly the staff are great people.
Our little hidden gem will be coming back.
Tastebuds cafe great for breakfasts and lunches; great food...
Tastebuds cafe great for breakfasts and lunches; great food at good prices. Fish and Chippery was tasty food, well cooked, great service, quick and efficient. There is a Nisa shop that stocks most day to day or emergency food, cleaning materials, a few toys, papers, gifts. Another gift shop nearby - cash only though.
There is a cash machine on the Parkdean site but it charges £1.85 for a withdrawal. Heated swimming pool; small but nice for little ones.
The beach is lively and sandy, and long enough for there to be space for all. Swimming in the shallow surf is good; not recommended for young children or poor swimmers.
Regular bus service into and from Great Yarmouth and surrounding villages. Busses every 20 minutes,
Entertainment at the Parkdean site and a bar.
We saw seals nearby, too.

The beach was nearby.
The beach was nearby. It was sandy, clean and stretched for miles.
We went off season but it seemed a very family orientated place.
Places to visit:
Seal Beach, Horsey (dirt road opposite Poppyland Tea Rooms leads to car park adj. the beach).
Poppyland Tea Rooms are a bit quirky. A must see visit if you like Dads Army.
If you are fit enough, you can walk along the beach to Caister on Sea and Great Yarmouth. Just remember you have to walk the same distance back :-)
