Great location, right on sea front, with parking at rear. Right in the heart of the town.Staff were superb, nothing too much trouble, very considerate. Breakfasts very good. Lovely atmosphere and feel to the place. Our family had rooms on 1st,2nd &3rd floors, all varied and 1st&2nd floor easy level access from lift, ideal for the older members of family. Rooms newly refurbished, light and airy, very comfortable beds, and quiet location with just sound of the waves.

Otterton is so beautifully picturesque!
Otterton is so beautifully picturesque! A car is definitely needed to get around from one place to another, as anyone should expect for a rural location in Devon, or anywhere in the West Country really.
There are lots of picturesque walks to go on, but be prepared for plenty of hill-walking! The magnificent views make it all worthwhile, though, as my photos from our 2 1/4 mile cliff path walk to-from Ladram Bay / Sidmouth will attest to - it helped vastly that we were fantastically lucky with the weather! We could not have wished for better!
We noticed lots of people walking their dogs and bringing them to the local cafes, etc. The dogs were all so very well-behaved! It was a pleasure!
Otterton itself was clean with very little evidence of dog-walking all things considered, too. It is so lovely to see that the people take such pride in their gorgeous, nature-filled surroundings! A lot of the little cafes offered water bowls for the thirsty furry friends, also, as the weather was quite warm around 20C / 68F for the whole 5 days.
The people are friendly and helpful, too!
My friend and I really enjoyed our visit to Bicton Park Gardens which is only about a 10-minute drive from Ladram Bay Holiday Park where we actually stayed and enjoyed a meal at the restaurant there.
We also visited Brixham, which is about an hour and a half drive (depending on traffic...) from Ladram Bay. In Brixham, by the quay, I had the BEST Fish & Chips I can remember, too!
