The cabin was absolutely spotless. You can tell the host takes great pride in looking after this place. The location is quiet, the cabin was very cosy, with proper heating! We have stayed in a few cabins and my word does having real radiators make a huge difference! The kitchen is well equipped and I had no trouble whipping up some avocado toast, with Serrano ham and poached eggs.
We really appreciated the milk in the fridge as we forgot to bring some. Thank you for that.

Staff were really nice and accommodating, the guy that booked me in and served my breakfast was very professional and a genuine nice guy.
Lovely location and really comfortable beds. We didn’t use the BBQ but it was incredible! Would come back to explore the area.
Make sure you ask for rooms to be made up as a twin if you need it. They did sort it for us, but there was a possibility it might not happen as the housekeeper was on holiday

Good base, easy access to all Brecon Beacons locations.
Good base, easy access to all Brecon Beacons locations. Pontsticill is beautiful, the reservoir is stunning and there are nice walks near it and on the taff trail. There are two pubs in the village, we haven’t used them yet as you need to book a few days in advance, and we weren’t that organised. The Brecon Mountain Railway journey starts at Pant which is a few miles away, which we would recommend it’s a short trip but the views are stunning.

The reservoir was lovely to walk by.
The reservoir was lovely to walk by. It is a good base for exploring the Brecon Beacons. It has two pubs in the centre, both do food. The Red Cow appears to be more of a food based pub and the Butchers Arms is more of a relaxed drinking pub. We didn’t go to either of the pubs as we hadn’t booked (covid times). The nearest shop is 2-3 miles away and the nearest good sized town (Merthyr) is about 4 miles away so it is worth stocking up on essentials before you arrive.
