Great history of Lever brothers and the establishment of Port Sunlight. The museum is definitely worth the visit as is the Lady Leverhulme Art Collection. Everything is easily walkable and food in the Bridge is above average.

We have been to Port Sunlight many many times and love the...
We have been to Port Sunlight many many times and love the village. For people who have the time, try and book a walking tour of the village via the Port Sunlight museum, brilliant for an insight into the history of the place. The Bridge Inn is ideal for a drink or pub food. Hulme Hall have craft and flea markets every Sunday. The garden centre has a café inside and considerable plants available. There is a Port Sunlight museum which tells the story of Lord and Lady Lever and their dream to build this unique village. Peaky Blinders had Aunt Polly's house here. The major attraction is the Lady Lever Art Gallery, absolutely brilliant, especially for the Romantics artists.

Landed here as an emergency stop over with a absolutely no idea what the area had to offer. What a lovely place it is though! Clean and tidy with picturesque buildings, lovely walks and finding some deck chairs on the village green(assume) was so lovely. We only wandered about for 1 afternoon but it was very beautiful.

Also close to every part of Port Sunlight, making it easy to visit all areas of this unique village. Port Sunlight is such a fabulous and picturesque Village - a photographer's dream! A step back in time to life in the 1800s. James was an amazing and generous host and his home is delightful and very comfortable indeed. We plan a return visit in the future.

Part of the Port Sunlight Garden Vilage, definitely worth a stay and walk around the village or visit to the Lady Lever art gallery. I arrived later than expected but was still made to feel welcome and when despite it being 10.45, I was offered a sandwich and a drink to settle me in.
