Wainstones Hotel, hotel in Potto

With a restaurant, bar and free Wi-Fi, this family-run hotel is on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, 15 minutes from Teesside and near the Wainwright's Coast to Coast walk.

This was day 10 of the coast to coast walk. It's a bit off the Wainwright trail but I walked it but I think they will pick you up. Room was lovely and very quiet. Nice real ales and food was lovely. Albeit that I could only manage the scotch egg starter and chips but it was stunning! Service brilliant and they took me back to the route next morning. And a bath!!!! I'd walked 20+ miles, just what I needed! Mix up with the payment due to my error which was resolved in such a nice friendly manner. Really reasonable rate too.

We had a fantastic stay, the cottage is very comfortable and very well equipped with everything we needed, they even had a Christmas tree put up for us which our Granddaughter was thrilled with. Keith the owner is most helpful but unintrusive, we have stayed here before and definitely will do again, can't recommend highly enough!!!

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are a good size very comfortable with all the extras in the room like cookies :) the room was also very clean and well kept, could maybe do with a little freshen up to the rooms decor to make them look quite ‘extra’ like the restaurant’s rustic themed decor. The food was beyond amazing! We tried the steak platter and it was the best steak ever!
