New build 1 bedroom modern apartment Rickmansworth, hotel in Rickmansworth

Situated in Rickmansworth in the Hertfordshire region, New build 1 bedroom modern apartment Rickmansworth has a balcony.

I thought this one-bedroom flat was lovely and the photos represent it well. I was a tiny bit apprehensive when I booked it as there were only 17 reviews at the time, but I’m really glad I did as it felt so spacious and made a lovely change to hotel accommodation. It’s located only a short walk from the tube station, and high street, and Waitrose; a newly built holiday flat on the roof of a small residential block. I actually lived in one of those residential flats many years ago so it was it nice to be back there and impressive to see the additional build. I really liked staying here and I felt quite at home. I’ve already booked to return in a couple of months.

Shendish Manor Hotel, hotel in Rickmansworth

In 160 acres of formal gardens, Shendish Manor features a leafy golf course, elegant restaurant and scenic countryside views. The manor is in Apsley, just outside Hemel Hempstead.

Breakfast was good, and plentiful, one of our party was gluten intolerant and gluten free muesli was available and bread was supplied on request. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Evening meal was very good the steak was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. The heating wouldn’t work but on approaching the reception the manager went above and beyond to remedy the problem. All in all the Shendish Manor was a great place to stay the staff are a credit to the company and what niggles we had were put right very quickly. Special mention must go to the manager who was on duty on the afternoon of 22nd April, who, while training two new colleagues, still managed to take time out to support us with our problems and remedy them.

Very comfortable, friendly and efficient. The Buffet is superb - probably the best we have had. There were a lot of attractions and bars and we felt that they were reasonably priced.

If this review comes through twice...sorry it went before I had finished. Room ok good size, bed comfy, but radiator in bathroom very weird freezing cold all eve and we hate having a lovely shower jacuzzi and drying off in cold bathroom. Good size en suite though.Tried to get rad on...in night it came on and bathroom like a sauna could not get rad off, floor so hot could hardly walk on it! Small red chairs tatty marks on them. Food ok but disappointed restaurant not open and bar food only...after driving 4hrs etc...if receptionist had shown us how to work jacuzzi which was a lovely surprise, it would have helped...all staff lovely and breakfast very good, but for the price paid we were not impressed....sorry but we were expecting one or two things differently we nearly used a Premier what you see is what you get...! Always clean and comfy and for one night they are fine but as this was a one night stay for a relatives funeral who lived at Ammersham, we decided your place looked more luxurious... we feel half a loo roll and hardly any tissues, was unacceptable we didn't mention this because everything ran out in morning and we had to leave.

friendly staff food nice although we only had a starter as a snack room pleasant and I think had been refurbed and I think rooms better than the downstairs suggested downstairs corridors etc in need of refurb as was car park area very shabby … however I get the impression the place has been taken over recently and is on the up ….so will give another try . the shower was terrible but I do find this with quite a few hotels !! so I won’t hold it against them

The property was lovely and in an beautiful location the village was so pretty. The hotel was so clean, in beautiful grounds and with ideal walking paths nearby. The other great advantage, it was only 20 minutes on the train to central London from the local train station. The room was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable. The food was great. We had a wonderful weekend and we will definitely return again for another great weekend here.

Although I had stipulated that my husband is wheelchair bound and I needed a disabled accesible room, the hotel only had one room and that was already taken. However they found us a room that was on the ground floor in a block close to the hotel that was suitable.

Stayed overnight before a flight out of Heathrow. Wanted to stay out of the city. Very comfortable hotel in a small village. You just need to keep an eye on the motorway and leave in good time to get to the airport

Character and setting of the Hotel and surprised how rural the location is. Breakfast was also excellent. It was only an overnight stay but would have liked to stay longer.
