The craw inn, hotel in Saint Abbs

Situated in Eyemouth, 20 km from The Maltings Theatre & Cinema, The craw inn features accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar.

The full Scottish and pots of coffee were superb! My Working Cocker Spaniel was very eager to help me polish off the full Scottish, toast and jam! All of the staff are dog people and were very welcoming of Sophia who felt like she was the star act for the four nights we were there. Again, Sophia helped me munch my way through the evening menu, as well. Dogs are equally as welcome in the bar area as they are in the breakfast room. The village of Auchencrow is lovely, it's very quiet and full of doggy neighbours. There is also a footpath a short walk up the hill from The Craw Inn which is maintained by the local Council. They even mowed it while I was there! It's a great, safe, off-road route for dog walking but mind the sheep at the end! Being away from home with a dog is always a worry as to where they can safely run off the lead, but this was fabulous!

Super place, facilities were excellent and clean. Location is really good, 20 mtrs from the beach front and with great access to cliff walks. I was able to have a swim in the morning and back in for breakfast in 10 mins (it was 2 deg C!), the breakfast was really good.

Peaceful harbour residence, local amenities shop/post office, couple cafes to refuel your onward journey. Active Harbour has its own lifeboat station and one of the cafes near its entrance. Parking available at Harbour for those making a visit by vehicle. For those arriving on foot plenty of coastal paths from St.Abbs location to view the dramatic volcanic coastline. Head northwards to St.Abbs head, lighthouse position, Mire Loch to walk around too.

Stunning scenery, wildlife, two pleasant days spent at the harbour, the Number 4 Gallery is well worth a visit (on the left just after taking the road to the harbour), there's an indoor market on Friday's at the Ebba Centre (the old School building at the top of the hill), a great selection of local crafts and friendly vendors. Nearby sites include Coldingham, great food at The Anchor pub, and has an ancient priory. Cove Harbour, a really tranquil beach. Pease Bay, a gorgeous beach, and the campsite clubhouse welcomes outside customers, and the food is very good.
