Susan & Ted really looked after us, including buying the particular muesli I like. Very comfortable bed. Everything spotlessly clean. Small but functional, quiet room. 10 minutes level walk from the railway station. Wetherspoons & supermarkets 5 minutes walk away. Mykabs £6.00 to the station.

Really friendly staff and the food was lovely. The room was comfortable and spotless. Great base for exploring North Cornwall as well. Only 20 minutes to a beach. The hotel has been renovated to a high standard and still ongoing, but that doesn't affect your stay.
Set on the banks of the Fowey River Estuary in Bodinnick, The Old Ferry Inn has provided food and cosy accommodation for over 400 years. It features a panoramic restaurant and traditional Cornish pub....

We could not find the old Ferry. The reason being it was not only totally covered in scaffolding on the two sides visible from the road but it was also covered in workman. The car park was a building site which we could not enter as it had the builders vehicle in it. It is impossible to park within half a mile of the property unless you cross the Stuart by ferry and leave your car there. It was impossible to park to unload the car plus our two dogs. The builders told us the owner or anyone else was not there.
It turns out the Inn doesn’t open until 3pm. We were never told of the scaffolding or works which included stripping part of the roof to one side of the room we should have been staying in which also had scaffolding right up to it. We did the only thing we could do and crossed the estuary and looked for another hotel. It was almost 3 pm and by a miracle saw the sign for The Fowey Hall Hotel. They’re dog friendly and had availability. This is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. It is immaculate inside and out with the most charming staff

There was obviously a real community spirit in this village from reading the local village news which we purchased in the village shop.
We visited the church and saw the beautiful medieval stained glass windows, the stitched kneeler, and woodwork.
We had a drink at The London Inn with the friendly landlady, a roaring log fire made us feel very welcome, due to the dining restrictions we did not have a meal, no doubt we would have had a meal had this not been the case.
We were able to visit many other beauty spots and beaches within easy travelling distance.

A beautiful cottage set in deep countryside, though actually only a short distance from the Halfway House, a pub restaurant an access to the cottage is via several miles of pure Cornish lanes. A car and a quarter wide, very interesting!
The owner and his wife couldn't have been more helpful. Taking us shopping when our car had battery problems, also charging for us.
As the house information said, it was a very much pet friendly cottage which if only he could write, our pooch LaTiDo would agree too.
