Claremont House, hotel in Saundersfoot

In the harbour village of Saundersfoot, Claremont House offers bed and breakfast accommodation in West Wales, close to Blue Flag beaches and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.

It wasn’t a long way from seafront but it was a 12% hill to have to climb on way back. We couldn’t do it as we are in late 70’s so had to keep using car and paying £1.50 per hour parking and clockwatch to make sure we didn’t over run our time.

We always love Saundersfoot and normally stay at Swallow Trees , but with the cost of living rising so drastically we looked for a better deal which we definately found here at Sandy View Cottage The Ridgeway , sadly the price has soared for next year and is now dearer than Swallow Trees. We ate twice at the Royal Oak and once at the Boat House both fantastic places to eat .

Lovely little historic sea-side town. We were there in December so not many folk about but many little shops still open and the beach was easily accessible for walking on. Not far from Tenby which provides additional local interest

Saundersfoot is a place for all ages but is particularly well suited for young families. The beach is huge with ample space even in high season. If you like walking then you can explore the coastal path to the east and the west. There are walking opportunities for all levels of fitness. There are plenty of restaurants, pubs and fish and chip shops. Saundersfoot has a slightly quieter feel than Tenby.

really lovely beach, nice choice of restaurants and cafes (but advise you to book in advance if you really want to go to a particular one, and some of them aren't open every day). some nice little shops too. easy to get to other places on the coast. Saundersfoot felt friendly and welcoming, and a lovely spot to stay for a couple of nights.

This cottage was one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in. It was spotless clean, beautifully furnished throughout and felt like a home away from home. The location was perfect as it was quiet but accessible to Tenby (7 min drive) and the cute little harbour of Saundersfoot which was a refreshing 20 min walk. The hosts were superb with excellent communication and ever so accommodating with our requests. We absolutely loved it here and will definitely return again when visiting the area.

Very nice relaxing stay at the Merlewood Hotel, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, with basic facilities you would expect for a 2 star hotel. We didn't use the pool ourselves, but was used by kids that seemed to have great fun. Hotel is a short walk into Saundersfoot but is via a steep hill, but helps to walk off an evening meal. Bar was well stocks and had a large lounge area for relaxing after a being out all day.

Excellent welcome, quiet room as requested. Very friendly owner and staff. Good bar area and superb dining room with a conservatory. Also plenty of outside seating. Great car parking at the rear of the hotel. Couldn’t fault the breakfast, more than ample and cooked and presented expertly. We had a superb meal in the restaurant. Perfect, accessible situation in the centre of Saundersfoot and close to all facilities, including the bus stop.

It was a proper home from home. Every little detail thought of and very much appreciated. So, so clean and the linen and everything was spotless. Owners easy to contact and location perfect. Honestly could not recommend enough. As an ex hotel manager I was super impressed. Thank you for a lovely few days.

The bungalow was very clean, modern, spacious and idyllic for those with mobility difficulties. It was also perfectly located in a quiet cul-de-sac, in close proximity of Tenby, Saundersfoot, Folly Farm and many beautiful beaches. It provided a great base for exploring the local area.
