We loved oyr stay at Belle Green, and we certainly plan to return! The location is very authentic and scenic and the landlord and his wife were very friendly and helpful! Near Sawrey is tiny, quaint and beautiful.
Near Sawrey is tiny, quaint and beautiful. As well as Beatrix Potter's Hilltop Farm, it also has a pub and a hotel. The pub lunch was nice (sandwich and chips) but over priced. The hotel (Sawrey Hotel) is shabby chic with nice gardens. Dinner was quite good. The highlight was the lemon posset which was amazing! We were disappointed to discover that the waiter didn't get the tips though.
