Great atmosphere within - especially in the bar and dining area, the staff were a delight and couldn’t do enough for you. Check in was friendly, quick and efficient. The food and drinks were of a high quality especially the breakfast. Tea/coffee facility in room was a great touch and had an extensive selection. Great car parking on site and location was ideal for the Falls trail and other areas.

The Traddock, hotel in Selside

Surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this cosy hotel offers luxurious accommodation and an award-winning restaurant.

It is a beautiful place to stay, and ideally located for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. I had injured my knee, and whilst my husband went out walking I was made very welcome in the ‘snug’ and looked after extremely well.

Stayed here with a friend for 2 nights to complete the Y3P. Perfect location. Room was well equipped, clean and comfortable. The host made us a packed lunch on the morning of our stay rather than breakfast as we were up and out so early. Amazing cooked breakfast 2nd morning. We ate twice at the Marton Arms pub highly recommend. Cabs were expensive ! All in all a great stay and lambs everywhere , so cute. Would stay again if walking in the area.

Moor View, hotel in Selside

Moor View is located in Ingleton, in the heart of The Three Peaks area of The Yorkshire Dales with stunning countryside views.

I couldn’t fault a thing. A real home from home experience- the room was bright, warm and comfortable. We had stayed due to completing the three peaks challenge, our lovely hosts made us a packed breakfast to take with us and had it ready for our early start (5:30am!). The cooked breakfast the next morning was delicious, with lots of choices available. I would definitely stay again and recommend this spot to friends and family.

I couldn’t fault the accommodation at all only could do with a bigger fridge so you can stock up on food with being no shop near by. Also too secluded for me and my partner as there was nothing within walking distance and had to use a car. A hot tub would be ideal with nothing near by

I had never heard of Selside prior to booking this trip but many walkers will have heard of Horton in Ribblesdale just 2 miles down the road. It was fantastic being able to walk a nice loop onto Ingleborough and back from the front door, on good paths, and that could have been extended to include Whernside and the Ribblehead aquaduct if we had been inclined. We picked up some food at Settle on the way as there are no more local amenities and ate out one night in Ingleton, only a 15 minute drive away, at the tapas restaurant which I would recommend!

This is essentially a hamlet of around half a dozen houses.

This is essentially a hamlet of around half a dozen houses. There are no shops, restaurants or pubs. Train runs past the village and nearest station is Horton-in-Ribblesdale, 4km or 5 min drive away from Settle.
