The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful. The room was larger than I thought it would be with an additional bed, no additional fee though :) There was everything I could have needed in the room - iron and ironing board, heater, fan, hair drier, tea, coffee and biscuits.

Close M11 and Stansted.
Close M11 and Stansted. A small village with some local shops. Good location to explore Essex and South Suffolk, lots of things to see nearby. The roads are narrow and there are lots of small villages with speed limits. A popular area for cyclists and bikers.

The staff were very welcoming and pleasant.
The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The food was exceptional, would use them again but unfortunately no more events expected in their location.
Only negative was the man who helped serve breakfast, he was not dressed appropriately - it looked like pyjamas but likely shorts & T-shirt
Hotel was clean and tidy and obviously well maintained. Nothing was too much trouble and I had to leave before breakfast on the Sunday morning so they made me a bacon baguette to take with me. The only thing I didn't like was the late breakfast time of 9am on a Sunday. This said they did supply me with a take away breakfast. Food was good, arrived promptly and plenty of it.
The hotel has an excellent service with every thing that they provide. The breakfast is excellent and the dinners are to die for. Have eaten at quite a few hotel's in the past, but this hotel has the most excellent service and also the rooms are very clean and spacious
Breakfast was excellent, the pub / hotel is located in a charming village with good parking outside the pub. The room was clean, comfortable but quite basic and the ensuite could do with a refurb. Ate in the pub and the food was very agreeable. Staff were all lovely.
By far the greatest asset of this hotel is its staff - who are lovely and cannot do enough for you. Easy to find the location too, and close to the Colville Hall wedding venue. Bed was very comfortable, so much so we're now looking at buying a new bed for the house!
This hotel was fantastic, the rooms were lovely, the bed was super comfy, the bar & restaurant area were just what you want, a fantastic bar with local beers & snacks & the food was FANTASTIC. The one thing that was really outstanding was the staff.
The hotel is full of character but with all the comforts. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming for our overnight stay. The breakfast was very good with everything you'd expect. I would happily recommend. Thankyou. X
As we were helping my daughter move house we didn't arrive at the hotel until very late but we were happy to find the room spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable. The full English breakfast was great.
Absolutely wonderful stay at the Cock Inn Hotel, thank you to all the friendly staff who made our stay so enjoyable. We had an evening meal and the breakfast, both were superb. Plenty of parking available.
Good hotel. For a pub with rooms it was extremely quiet. Comfortable bed and good facilities. Can't comment on the breakfast as I had to leave before restaurant was open .
Perhaps his hotel caters more for travellers using the nearby Stansted airport. Whilst my room was clean and comfortable, it felt strange to be in a room with three beds.
A lovely family owned and run hotel. Comfortable rooms, great freshly prepared food, and a quiet location handy to M11.
On site parking. Just a great pub.
