It smelt of fags It didn’t feel safe for a lone female to stay It wasn’t well run There was no greet and meet It was not as advertised on booking.com I couldn’t stay The parking was not safe for my car It was a total disappointment and I immediately asked to cancel and was told I was wrong to have expected it to be deluxe as advertised given it’s price- in other words it was the view of the proprietor that it was my fault that their place was awful, which was why presumably they also operated under a no cancellation policy for letting the room.

Very nice place to stay with the kids. It was short weekend stay but we enjoyed it a lot, especially that was close ride to York which was our main destination. Very clean, comfortable beds. Enjoyed the outdoor hot tub.

Absolutely fantastic stay! Only a 15 minute drive or bus ride into town, bus stop was a few minutes walk from the house. It was clean, big room with loads of storage and the bathroom had all the essentials you could need (toothpaste, schampoo, conditioner, body wash). The owner was so friendly and was an absolute star and drove us to a bus stop because of heavy rain! Can't recomend this place enough.

Lovely quiet location. We had very limited time to spend here after attending a party, but we were soon in our room and settled. Although the pub downstairs was busy when we arrived we heard nothing from the room, so quiet!
