The hosts were both so accommodating and were so lovely. Was so nice to be able to chat with them at breakfast and actually get to know them as it felt like a much more personal stay as opposed to what you’d get staying at a hotel. Breakfast was simple and suited us just fine. Beds were comfy and had no issues with room temperature. Hosts went above and beyond to cater to any of our needs. Great location as well.

Easy to find, great location being so close to the livestock Auction Mart where I was attending an event. Very quiet even though close to main road, great parking. Good breakfast choice served by friendly staff. Pleasant clean rooms. Would definitely stay again.

Property was large and mix between modern and traditional. Wooden floors and open stone work was nice.

We were there to meet up with friends was ideal for a short visit and the area was handy for Biggar a couple of miles up the road which is very interesting Symington it’s self does not have much and the hotel is on a hill just off the main road

Symington is not somewhere you would rate.
Symington is not somewhere you would rate. Staying in the hotel and visiting Symington would not normally occur in the same sentence i.e. while you might want to stay in the hotel you would never think of visiting Symington - there is nothing to see.

We could only stay for one night, so didn't have the chance to experience much really. Climbed Tinto Hill - a lovely walk with great views and a super little tea shop near the car park.
Had a fantastic evening meal at Barony Restaurant in nearby Biggar - would recommend this very strongly!
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It's incredibly new, clean, and cozy. I loved the color scheme and the ambiance - it really added to the overall experience.
My absolute favorite part of the stay was the dining experience. The meals were not only beautifully presented but also incredibly delicious. The attention to detail and the quality of the food were outstanding. I couldn't have asked for a better dining experience during my stay.
What a gem of a place! The weather was fantastic during our stay, making the hotel's well-kept garden an absolute treat. Can ask reception to get permission to take a walk by a picturesque lake just opposite the property. Its not open to the public yet but will do soon. Staffs very friendly and helpful.
The hotel needs some refurbishment as it is getting old. But there is potential. For events such as weddings etc it should be a great place as there is a specific room with windows and view over the large garden (a park).
Dog friendly hotel and I have appreciated that they waived the 12£ charge.
Breakfast was very basic, limited choices and uninspiring. My scrambled eggs were watery and tasteless. No fresh fruit or yogurt.
The hotel was generally run down inside and out but clean. Staff were thin on the ground but helpful.
The surrounding environment of this hotel is very beautiful, the hotel decoration is very distinctive, the staff is very warm, the breakfast is rich, our family are very happy, looking forward to the next time.
Hotel staff are really helpful and friendly. We loved our stay. Rooms are newly refurbed and are very cosy. Would recommend to anyone who is looking to have a relaxing long weekend!
The hotel is a long historical one, rich of culture and style but was also recently renovated. This means a great combination of vibe, culture and comfort!
Food is really great.
Location is great, very close to Tinto hill. Room is very clean, breakfast amazing. Staffs are very nice, and helpful. Will come back in summer again. 10/10 hotel
Breakfast was brilliant. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful! Immaculate hotel. I’ll definitely stay at Tinto again. And recommend it to my friends and family.
