This is a lovely pub hotel. Historic, quirky, well looked after. It feels beautifully maintained and fresh whilst being sympathetic to its age. Evening meal delicious. Not cheap, but when the plates arrived each entirely justified their pricing by being special. Pub fish and chips never normally this individual and delicious. Breakfast matched. Staff were exclusively friendly, chatty and helpful.

The village is very quaint, chocolate box pretty. There are very few shops in the village, but Tunbridge and Hastings are nearby.
The hotel decor is amazing, very quirky and imaginative. The bed was enormous and extremely comfortable. The evening meal was delicious. The only downside was the English breakfast, failing that would thoroughly recommend.

Ticehurst is a lovely little place, full of charm. It has 2 really excellent country inns: The Bell and The Bull (not to be confused). Both serve great food, with The Bell adding a modern twist and The Bull going more traditional. Both are worth a visit, though I recommend pre-booking.

There is a need to improve and upgrade the facilities and in particular to provide and much more substantial and varied breakfast.
I realise the room is trying to give a 'shabby chic' appearance, but the layout and facilities in the room need to be overhauled.

Ticehurst is a small Village with a few independent shops . We were using it as a base to visit family in Kent and the excellent Hever Castle , so didn't really explore the village fully . The destination was The Bell Inn .
We Loved the ambiance, the decoration and uniqueness of the building and the general demeanor of the very helpful staff. Even with a wedding taking place at the venue we were still looked after oand given plenty of smiles and good service. The room we stayed in was very comfortable especially the deluxe bed. The Inn itself was uniquely styled and has grown into its own skin. All areas were well furnished, stylishly put together and in keeping with the eclectic ideology of the designers without being OTT.
The office staff were extremely accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The on-site restaurant was excellent with a varied and interesting breakfast menu, with gluten-free choices. We had small children and babies in our party and the restaurant owners were very understanding and helpful. Good forest walks and bike rides on the doorstep and a good pub, The Bell, in the nearby pretty village of Ticehurst. Would definitely recommend a stay at Flimwell Park.
We were attending a wedding at The Bell in Ticehurst so needed accommodation nearby. The Cherry Tree Inn is about ten minutes walk away, so ideal. It's a picturesque pub with good, traditional food, a friendly welcome, a great outside area and plenty of parking. It's unfussy and popular with locals. Room was clean, reasonably modern and nice and quiet. I was concerned mattress might be too firm, but good sleep said otherwise. Breakfast was prompt and tasty
Truly pet-friendly hotel. Casper was greeted with his own personal letter, outlining some good walks in the local area, along with a gift box with treats, toy and poo bags. They did provide a bed for him, but he's such a large dog we brought our own. Many quirky and interesting features, which apparently reflects the owner's eclectic/ eccentric style. A really lovely place!
We loved everything about this hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly, they knew the local area and could advise us of where to visit. The room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was good as was dinner. Lots of local produce including wine and beer. Lots of parking behind hotel. We would definitely visit again. Local area is very pretty.
Such a lovely night away. Pub has a lovely atmosphere, very busy and the tasting menu was delicious. Room was spacious and very clean with lots of lovely thought out bits, can definitely feel a lot of thought has gone into the rooms. Everyone we met was very friendly, especially Oscar who served us, what a star!
Would love to stay again!
Always loved eating at the Bell so thought we'd try it for a night while visiting Bedgebury lights. Rooms are as cool and quirky as downstairs and excellent for the price. Unfortunately we were in a room at the front which suffered from road noise which started at 5am and obviously increased during rush hour. Other than that, all good.
I was working late at the Priory Ticehurst, I am a mental health manager there
Meeting on Thursday went over time
Weather was atrocious...I live in Kent
Last minute booking at Dale Hill allowed me to stay over locally
Great reception staff
Great food
Wine was very expensive
£ 9 per glass of wine...only negative
The fridge was, amazingly, well stocked. There was every type of toiletry, imaginable, supplied for our use. It was, perfectly, clean, with no noise, @ all from passing traffic. I was staying, to attend my daughter's wedding in Ticehurst. It was, beautifully, furnished with a 'heart' theme, throughout. It was perfect.
We had a lovely time staying at the Forest Edge Hotel in one of their Chalets. The owner was very friendly and ready to help with anything we needed such as extra blankets etc. There are plenty of things to do and places to visit a short drive away. We are looking forward to staying again in the future.
all is excellent, really good experience to live here two nights, very quiet place with free parking. All facilities in the kitchen is very convenient and the bedroom is very clean and warm,, we really like this hotel very much, we want to book it again if we travel nearby in the future .
- The room itself was nice and had a relaxing feel to it
- The hotel is in a nice area and has nice views around the golf course
- Although breakfast took a while to arrive, staff were apologetic and it was enjoyable to eat
