Kings Arms, hotel in Topcliffe

Situated in the small and pretty village of Sandhutton, Kings Arms is 3.4 miles from the market town of Thirsk.

A nice place just off the A1 breaking the journey from Edinburgh to Kent. The room and bathroom were recently refurbished and although small met all our needs including a nice sized bed. Breakfast was just fine and the staff friendly.

It was a good price for the area and a good location for what we were planning the next day. Quite village and location with parking. Nice staff and pub. Bear in mind you cannot check in till after 4pm. Rooms are fairly small but they have everything you need. The only reason why I have given it a lower rating is because beds are very important as a good night's sleep does matter. I recommend the hotel invest in good quality mattresses as it pays off. Invest in some black out blinds so people can sleep if they like it dark. If these were done then I would stay there again.
