Rooms at number 4, hotel in Tunstead

Set in North Walsham, 14 km from Blickling Hall, Rooms at number 4 offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

Convenient, cheap, quite comfortable. Good location close to town centre but easy to park. Plenty of milk and teabags provided. Rooms are quite compact so need to be friendly with the person you are sharing with! Storage was ok for a couple of days. Coat hooks existed. Café next door is owned by same people I think? There is a small discount for guests, and it is a good café. £6.50 for avocado and poached egg on toast is quite reasonable these days!

Wayford Bridge Inn Hotel, hotel in Tunstead

Located in the heart of the Norfolk Broads, this 3-star riverside hotel is within reach of Norwich, Great Yarmouth and the delightful Norfolk Coast.

The rooms and the hotel itself were lovely. We ate there in the evening and the food was lovely too. The staff just seemed a bit unorganised... Maybe they were new or something but breakfast didn't flow very well and ordering at the bar for our evening meal was a bit challenging for the young girl behind the bar. Other than that it was great

Tunstead itself, not much of anything.

Tunstead itself, not much of anything. Pub only open weekends but great location handy for coast, broads and city of Norwich. Our cottage very pleasant with extremely helpful but unobtrusive owner. Hot-tub excellent.

Tunstead village is very small, with very few amenities.

Tunstead village is very small, with very few amenities. We had a meal at the pub The Horse and groom, which was enjoyable and my husband said it was the best burger he'd had in a long time. The nearest town was Wroxham which was lovely. It had a great store called Roys where you could buy just about anything you needed. We also went on a river boat from there to see some of the Broads.

It is an ideal base for exploring north Norfolk, but a car is pretty much essential. Coastal towns such as Cromer and Sheringham are about 14 miles away and Blakeney Point and Horsey Gap are a similar distance and ideal to see wildlife (especially seals from October). The Norfolk Broads and Norwich aren't too far away either!!

Laburnam Cottage is top notch. So comfortable and welcoming.

Laburnam Cottage is top notch. So comfortable and welcoming. Tunstead is a lovely village with good walks in local lanes and footpaths. The surrounding countryside is stunning. There is a friendly local pub, the Hose Groom, with fire in the stove. The best pub is the White Horse in Neatishead. Great food in cosy setting with amazing service. Laburnam Cottage is well placed for the Broads and the coast. We would recommend to anyone.
