I liked the lay out, car parking, and the grounds.
The staff were exceptionally helpful.
Within the historic Burghley Estate, The William Cecil boasts unique rooms with original features, and Egyptian cotton sheets. Its restaurant serves fresh, seasonal food.
Friendly staff who everything they could to make us welcome.
Friendly staff who everything they could to make us welcome. Beautiful gourmet food made with local produce. My husband thought the batter on his fish was the best he had ever had and he is very particular. Beautiful porridge at breakfast. Lovely English breakfast. Happy atmosphere in bar. Beer nicely kept. Some good beers on draft. Good coffee. Lovely view of field with Shetland ponies. Church with gold chiming clock. Bank of daffodils. Quintessentially English. We look forward to our next stay there.

Ufford is a beautiful, peaceful village, full of interesting buildings. We enjoyed a stroll round on an earlier visit in the summer but it was dark this time when we arrived, although you could still sense the atmosphere.
Lots of places to visit nearby but nice to come back to the White Hart in Ufford afterwards.
I think the White Hart is the only place to eat.

Pleasant village, well signposted with some interesting old stone barns converted into homes. The church has an amazing vantage point on top of a steep hill, but a loud clock which rings the hour all night as well as day! There is a village hall, but I didn't notice any other facilities such as a shop. Popular with cyclists because of the hill climbs I believe.

Ufford is a small, beautiful and interesting village.
Ufford is a small, beautiful and interesting village. It is very quiet and we could have had some pleasant walks had we been staying longer. It is in a very rural setting, not even the distant sound of traffic.
It is only a 15 minute drive from the town of Stamford which is also very pleasant and interesting. We had a lovely stroll through the park on our way back to Ufford after eating in Stamford.
The White Hart is a very popular, historic pub with a very pleasant lounge, garden room and stone outbuildings converted into bedrooms. The village is handy for Stamford, Burghley House and Park, John Clare's Cottage at Helpston and not far from Flag Fen Archaeological Park. They don't provide dinner every day and the hotel contacted us to warn us of this fact in plenty of time for us to make alternative arrangements. The room was decorated and cleaned to a high standard.
Tasteful decor in cottagie style, clean room with enough storage and mirrors and windows to open. Good, bathroom with plenty of hot water.Cooked English breakfast was of a very good standard with nice tea and coffee. Marmalade available.Staff very welcoming and polite in breakfast room.Didnt try evening menu but this looked good and availability of a delivery pizza from the hotel's kitchen was useful to know for the future.
Staff here are exceptionally accommodating and polite. Very clean and comfortable rooms. We ate here on two evenings and had breakfast too and food was great. Lovely setting with plenty of space to relax and pretty courtyard and garden. Ufford is a small but pretty village and just a short drive to picturesque Stamford and Burleigh House. Would definitely recommend.
The recently refurbished hotel provided excellent accommodation with all modern facilities. We stayed in one of the first floor attic rooms which was extremely comfortable and immaculately clean. The staff were exceptionally pleasant and polite and upon our arrival we were greeted with a cup of freshly brewed coffee.
The White Hart is located in the beautiful village of Ufford , so peaceful and quiet . Its a quaint country building with real fires in the bar and cosy comfortable clean rooms .
The breakfast had plenty of choice and was delicious. The staff are really lovely and very helpful
Hotel facilities lovely. 2 of the bar staff young man long hair exceptionally helpful also young lady on duty helping out in bar. Good choice of beers etc. Comfortable bar. Breakfast food quality (full cooked) excellent.
Quaint hotel with spacious rooms separate to main building. Peaceful and quiet. Beds comfy. Food exceptionally good - both dinner and breakfast. Felt most welcome. Lovely place to stay
A lovely country pub in a pleasant location. Very friendly, efficient staff, even though they were under pressure with a full hotel and a wedding going on. Good breakfast.
