This is a self-catering apartment and the facilities were excellent. It was very helpful having a nominated parking place. The location is also excellent (easy for the sat-nav to find!) and a short hop to the town centre. There is a C0-Op store right opposite and the back entrance to the Crown Inn. We went into Oakham by bus one day and the stop is right outside as well.
Centrally located just 2 miles from the centre of Corby, the Best Western Rockingham Forest Hotel has free high-speed WiFi access, free parking, and a restaurant.

Good location, and had an EV charger, which is a bonus. Also went above and beyond to cater for my Coeliac disease and cooked a gluten free fish and chips.

Uppingham is a really pretty town with a nice range of shops and restaurants. HIghly recommend staying at The Crown pub and visiting the world-famous Goldmark Art Gallery. The art and ceramics are fantastic and the staff are very welcoming. In fact everyone we met in Uppingham was really friendly!
If you want to go for a walk / bird watching- Rutland Water is nearby.
Oakham is also nice to visit - especially the museum.

We didn’t have a long enough stay to visit Uppingham as we were getting together with family at Rutland Water. We briefly drove through it though and it looked pretty. There’s so much to do in this area, you definitely need a lot more time to explore! We only had a couple of days. I would definitely come here for a long weekend or even a week! So many lovely places to visit.

Uppingham is a lovely place to visit oldy worldy in the town centre, well worth a visit with plenty of hotels pubs and shops, parking can be a bit of a struggle on busy days, but don't let it put you off going. People who live and work there are super friendly.

We ike the staff who are so welcoming and smile and are very helpful. We like the rooms which are clean and warm and have all the usual needs met, plus a bath !! the beds are very comfy. We like the buffet breakfast included in the cost and use of a water machine and a microwave anytime if needed. Like the secure windows on ground floor and quiet at night. Liked the Christmas tree too. Next door is a nice Indian restaurant with a terrace for eating out with a view in the summer, also they are happy for you to take you drinks to your room and ask you to leave them at the Redwings reception and they will collect them. We like the location, with a lovely view, and Redwings has nicely kept gardens. Redwings is easy to find and we visit Stamford which is not far away, We always have a nice stay, have been four times and will continue to return, very good value. We looked up Redwings web site as there are other lodges around the UK to stay at when on our travels.
This apartment is well looked after by the hosts and is situated right in the centre of Uppingham which we describe as a quaint little English town containing independent shops, a nice hotel and pubs and restaurants. We travelled by car so had easy access to the surrounding area which is very pretty - lots of little villages and village pubs. Rutland water is about a 10-15 minute drive away - we would like to stay in this apartment again and explore Rutland Water some more.
Staff are Friendly, breakfast facilities are good. Bed seemed comfy but due to an issue getting a taxi back to the hotel we didn't sleep there in the finish. My only gripe is that, while it seemed a lovely hotel from the outside, the inside is downright grubby. Carpets very badly stained and a general feeling of tattiness. If you want a super low cost place to stay for a night, I would recommend, but expect what you pay for.
We were very pleased with the friendly, informal checking in process, the comfortable room and the location of the hotel in the centre of town.
The building is obviously quite old and quirky. We were in Room 3 which is at the top of the building. A word of warning if you are over 6 foot tall. Watch out for the exposed beams which run across the corridor on the top floor. Don't forget to duck!
The room was absolutely spectacular, well stocked with teas and coffees and toiletries, the bathroom was so impressively nice, so much larger than I anticipated! The staff was absolutely the kindest, most helpful and attentive hotel staff I’ve ever encountered. The location was lovely and the restaurant delicious. I have absolutely no complaints :)
Lovely dog friendly room on the ground floor, in the courtyard. Staff very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast a little disappointing, kindly made porridge but then found it was pre-sweetened, not great for a diabetic. Muffins were uncut-able - could only tear them apart - certainly not the quality I expected from this quality hotel.
I was given a ground floor room, which was great as I was travelling with my dogs. The staff were so pleasant & welcoming & the breakfast next morning surpassed expectation. This hotel was brilliant for an overnight stop. I had stayed there 2 weeks earlier & wouldn;t hessitate to stay there again. Thank you Redwings Rutland!
The welcome and the advanced information on where to park and where not to park so the place next door doesn't charge £100 for parking with their lovely ANPR cameras. Note: these cameras have nothing to do with the hotel. Very comfy bed, powerful shower. Good continental breakfast included.
Just about everything. Debbie is an outstandingly good host. Our room was very spacious, comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would strongly recommend The Hollies to anyone visiting Uppingham, which is a charming small town.
Very well located hostel in the Main Street of Uppingham. Cosy and charming rooms, with a courtyard for lunches outside and dining room for lunches inside. Excellent service, great breakfasts. A restaurant that is worth a visit.
Very private, comfortable, clean and well equipped accommodation. Couldn't fault the Topiary Barn. Smaller than we usually stay in but we enjoyed our short stay there. Lunch and evening meal excellent in the Falcon Hotel.
It was mine and my mums first time staying in Uppingham. We enjoyed staying at the garden hotel the room was nice and clean. An we had a lovely view of the garden. The staff were friendly too.
The property is both stylish and cosy. The log burner is delightful.
Great location - Uppingham is a lovely place. We had our bikes with us and did two great bike rides from the property.
Found the staff friendly and helpful
Found hotel clean and tidy and hygiene excellent and organised
The room was above average every thing working and up to date more than expected
Spacious and well decorated apartment ideally located for exploring Rutland and within easy walking distance of Uppingham centre. Pretty and private outdoor space. Dedicated parking
Very good continental breakfast was included into the room rate. Redwings Lodge is close to Rutland waters. Just 10 mins by car and lot of parking places available.
Quaint hotel in a quaint village. Great food options, even for a vegan. Room service was not available from the adjacent bar. Everything was perfect otherwise.
Excellent location, food was very good. The hotel was better than anticipated and we really enjoyed our stay. We have already recommended it to friends.
