Peaceful location, lovely courtyard room with everything needed, including a very comfortable bed. Fantastic breakfast and excellent evening meal on the day we chose to eat there. It was nice staying next to the bar - we could have a drink in the evening without worrying about who was going to drive. We're not golfers, but learned a bit about the sport while we were there! Also was great to be so close to the Nature Reserve and able to walk around Rutland Water.

Nestled close to the shores of Rutland Water, just 5 minutes’ drive from Oakham and a 50-minute drive from Leicester. Loved the room as requested one in ground floor as eyesight not good so difficult on stairs. Room Very nice, clean and comfy bed and very warm.

Dating back to 1604, this former hunting lodge offers traditional, spacious accommodation in the heart of Oakham, Rutland’s county town. The food was good. tasty and clean. all the staff and food were good. clean and comfortable atmosphere.

An 18th century town house, this hotel and restaurant has a seasonal menu using local produce and a log fire in the cosy bar. The room was absolutely spectacular, well stocked with teas and coffees and toiletries, the bathroom was so impressively nice, so much larger than I anticipated! The staff was absolutely the kindest, most helpful and attentive hotel staff I’ve ever encountered. The location was lovely and the restaurant delicious. I have absolutely no complaints :)

Beautifully situated in the historic market town of Oakham, this 17th-century former farmhouse has been lovingly restored to offer luxurious guest rooms with Freeview TV, whilst still retaining its... It was well run, clean, friendly staff and the food was excellent! It was also within walking distance to the railway station.

Family owned and run, Greetham Valley Hotel is set amidst tranquil Rutland countryside. 10 minutes' drive from Oakham, Stamford and Rutland Water and with easy access via the A1. The location is very good, it's off the beaten track but on a well-loved golf course. Which makes the hotel part both welcoming and warm. The bar & restaurant is separately located in the golf course clubhouse. The staff here are polite and very helpful. I had driven a long way late in the evening to get to the hotel, I am not very observant after a long drive. The staff were polite, unjudging and kind to me, which made my stay far better. Good service is priceless. The hotel room was large, well catered and comfortable. The ensuite was up to the task, the shower was amazing. Dinner, a good night's sleep, breakfast and I was on my way once more.
